Ok maybe i dont know what im doing then w0rdie. Do i start the GPS with the GPS Viewer, then go to live search?

It's not a bad idea... switch to COM4, and Cold Start it... then once it gets a lock, open up whatever you like.

I am completely new to all of this and the "computer talk" is giving me a headache!

I have no clue what all of you are talking about or how to do it.

However, here is my situation - I just bought the HTC Touch 6900 with Alltel (it is actually a smaller company -ETEX-that contracts with alltel I believe.

I am looking to get GPS or/and anything else that will make my phone that much more user friendly and fun to have.

Any help for a phone idiot????

Hey Word or Con or anybody that have a Touch, What Key Board are you using because this key board thats up there now is driving me crazy. I text alot and im thinking about taking this thing back to the store just because of that. So if you can help me out with another keyboard that would be very helpful.

go to pocketcm.com and download their keyboard then install it. then dump the attached file into the PCMkeyboard file in programfiles on your device. overwrite All . Then go to keyboard options and change language to 2many,then change skin to grey Iphone. youll love it. got the skin from 2manyphones over at xda. Its all I use. sounds more complicated then it is. giveitatry

Okay, i downloaded that file onto my pc and saved it to program files for my device. i connected the phone to the pc, but i am not showing it on the device now. how do i find it on my device and "activate" it on the phone?

You might also try TouchPal keyboard. They charge for the full version but it is really nice. There is a free version as well.

looks like someone has posted an "officail" update. I am flashing now, and decompling now, flash is at 90%. This new build will now be the base for all new builds from me. Check out the link.

Cool! Are you future roms going to include both options from a recent post you made about having the option to have the normal htc home screen or manilla??
