ok Con maybe you can help me. iv asked twice over on shadows thread but noones helping and its been two days.

12. Click 'Active Phones' tab. click 'Start Clients' drop down, then click 'SERVICE PROGRAMMING'
13. Click 'OK' in 'Phone Selection' window (code is 000000) see troubleshooting if it fails

I can make it to #10 but there is no device listed with the same COM port as my phone. Mines 7 and the only one listed is 6. and advice would be greatly appreciated

okay, you need to your com port. I am going to guess that you can not add the right port number from QPST correct? Then you will need to change it from your device manager.

1 Right Click on My computer (on desktop)
2. Go down to Manage
3 In the window that just open up, go down to Ports, from here you should see HTC diagnostic interface. right click here and go to properties.
4. In the properties tab you should see something like (General, Port Setting, Driver.... ect) You want port settings. Click on Port Settings
5. Now you will have a tab setting or something with port number, and for you it should have port 6 selected. Click on that drop down menu and select 7.
6. Then close this all out. And unhook your phone Dial ##3424, and go to QPST and see if it worked.

its already set to 7, can you only use a com once? cause my wifes is also 7

No you can use them has much has you want, like i did 3 phones earlier without having to change anything, if it is already at 7, can you not go to 6. or any other number has long has it will be able to select it in QPST.

I dont know? I thought you had to select the same one as the HTC Diag interface showed. before you click add new device it shows com7 but its got a red line through it and says disabled. you can enable it but I was kinda afraid to cause shadow said if you go to changing things in there you could brick your phone

You will not brick it while setting it up. so you can do whatever you want if the phone is not connected to QPST. because then it is not communitcating, so it cant do any harm. So you should be safe.

Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that an update has been finally released by alltel/htc for WM6.1, GPS, and RevA. http://www.htc.com/us/SupportDownloa..._id=64&cat=all
I found out from someone in advanced tech support from Alltel. It says it was just released the 8th. The tech said you could also get the rom upgrade off of alltel.com but I couldn't find it. Anyways, my question is, can I upgrade to that from the latest release of conflippers manilla? I'm not switching to it, just wanted to check it out. Just wanting to ask before I tried, don't want to brick my phone. And if I did brick my phone at some point in time, was wondering if it's easily unbricked from the bootloader screen or is it rare to be able to get to the bootloader screen when its bricked. And last, the A-GPS instructions here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36377 I saw you posted in there con that you could cook that into the rom, was wondering if that is already in the rom, and is it just the reg hacks or the gpsone settings also. Wasn't sure if you could cook those gpsone settings in or not.

will this file in your ftp cab folder make internet and messaging work on a rom that it doesnt originally work on? ----> dcd Alltel Carrier 20080723.cab

I thought I would be able to cook it into there but sadly i cant, it is set up where i can not cook it into it. I really wish i could but i cant.

You are able to flash to the offical alltel rom, it will not do any damage to your phone.

I am uploading now a beta, based off the new alltel rom, is in beta right now, i work on it last night, but I need to size it down more. but it will have support for the SMS/MMS in the same folder. it will also have revA suppourt and everything else.

You can try it, it cant really hurt to try it.



Here is a beta rom, It is based off the latest alltel rom.
New SMS/MMS (max send size is now 95mb)
Long Press endkey
Added Manilla Customizer to Settings

Nothing to major, I just want to hear of problems there might be, I still need to clean it up some, But this is based off the latest Alltel update.
Also at this time it is only manilla2d. I will work on getting a classic version with HTC home in there. but for this beta it is just Manilla.
