I am having the same issue. Right now I have 4 themes I am using and 2 of them the weather is fine but with the other two I have the weather issue. It sounds like if I want to use different themes I need to make these edits and copy the files into windows folder every time I want to use a new theme. Is that correct?

What I suggest doing is (this might take time) setting up each theme and using M2DC to back them up. Yes, a pain in the arse but once you have the xml files edited and the theme displaying properly you can use winzip to bundle it all together. For instance, the current theme your using make sure its exactly how you want it (make sure you save a copy of the edited xml file on your computer for future use). Then that copy of the xml file you edited and zip it with the theme files. Then when your done with that you can change the .zip to .m2dct. Then just add it in to M2DC. Do this for all your themes and it will make it much easier to change from theme to theme.

Thanks for the tip. I will give that a try once I find a free minute this week. It does sound like a lot of work but if it will allow me to swtich around my themes every once in awhile then that is what I'll do.

hey Con, just thought id let you know when i installed the fire theme that im using right now the start up sound started working correctly. all i did was over write files in the windows dir. and the clock was a seperate .cab but i didn't use m2dc at all. the last time it started working was when i was using a black theme from twolf over at xda.

do you have the Cab file, I will take a peak at it, and see what i can chage, I have time off work, and i am spending the day comparing registry files. Will report back soon.

latest discovery, I can't send email. say s to check netrwok coverage and account info. it seems right and i'm going to call alltel but anyoner in in to this?

Edit: I deleted the email account and reinstalled it. works now but alltel had no solution for me. still no idea why it happened

Hey Con, Heres those .cabs you asked for. This is my 2nd computer Im working off of. its a donated one im repairing so I dont have all the theme files for the fire theme installed on it but this is every thing but the actual files I dropped into the windows dirictory.
