you would need to adjust the "turn device off if not used for..." in power settings, I have it set to 1 min. if u change, this will have negative affects on your battery.

umm, my v3 m2d rom is already based on the 3.09 rom. it's the same rom w/ m2d added.

no, i dont have a m2d sprint based rom.....I used the 3.09 rom as my base cuz it's better & more generic so anyone could use it.

which sprint apps are you wanting? they can be easily added to my 3.09 m2d.

well u can disable taskmgr in start/setting/system but I was not able to get the battery % to show when m2d was active, not sure why......it would only show when i disabled m2d.

yes, u did it correctly.....there is a risk of bricking just like ImCoKeMan says, but it's just that...a risk....I've done this myself a few months ago, w/ no problems.

Weird, keypad works fine in other apps, but in Opera it has issues. I looked through the code from the Opera OEM, the only keyboard referrence I found was this:

no, and I've been using TouchPal since day 1....make sure you're installing v3.5 for WM6.1

yes, all my Manilla roms were based on the Bell rom, BUT all of my roms have carrier customization removed and have User customization added, so it is safe to let it run.

I'm w/ Sprint too, and the 3.09 rom is alittle better than 3.04.

im getting a gsm version of the touch friday, i have had and have now a cdma touch.... will all these custom roms of yours work the same on the gsm version? and also, read on the htc website that the gsm version has wifi, but the carrier im getting it from doesnt have that listed on their website http://www.cellonenation.com/phones/.../HTC_Touch.pdf .......... do all gsm touchs have wifi?

The short answer is maybe. Best to find out from the carrier what their version offers. When I was looking at getting a Touch, I came across a bunch of variants (supposedly even a CDMA Touch w/WiFi)

The conclusion we arrived at is that some of the larger carriers might special order features to be made for their phones (which accounts for naming schemes like Sprint Touch, XV6900, PPC6900, etc).

The Touch versions with WiFi (typically) are lacking in comparison to those w/o WiFi.... namely the WiFi version (usually) has a slower processor, less RAM (and ROM) and no GPS.

The applications themselves may work, but I strongly doubt that a Vogue ROM would work on an Elf. -- You would also be swimming w/o a safety net as there is no forum here for the HTC Elf (which is the name for the GSM Touch).

sorry, but no, you cant use roms made for cdma on gsm phones.

sounds like you'll just have to wait & see if it has wifi.
