OMJ's 3.03, 3.09, M2D WM6.1 Custom Touch ROMs w/ User Customization! Updated 10/9/08

Would there be any benefit to building a custom ROM on the new 3.10 Alltel ROM? It seems to be more responsive (i.e. faster) than some of the custom ROMs out there. I might just add the new manilla cab over it and see how it responds. But if OMJ thinks he wants to build a custom ROM based on 3.10, that would be great, too.

OMJ what are the chances you could cook a new ROM like your classic Sprint ROMs with the latest v3 added. i really like the apps you used to include and would rather not have to add them all by CAB.

Also would you consider adding Second Today to your M2D ROMs since we cant add things to the M2D today screen? amAze GPS might be a nice addition as well, voice turn by turn for free...FTW!!

I installed the latest version of esmertec jbed... then i went into the registry and searched for jeodek and replaced that with jbed. i believe i found two entries.

I then deleted the old link to the jeodek java app in my program menu and everything seemed to work again... Including the bell music... Although i did notice it to be a little sluggish after i did that for bell music, for some reason after i accidently had to reinstall my google maps, everything seemed to have resolved itself and works great...

Hi there,

I ran OMJ's Verizon ROM and works great, except I'm having trouble getting the GPS to work. Here's my info:

ROM Version: 3.02.651.2
ROM Date: 4/23/08
Radio: 3.42.50
PRL Version: 51101
PRI Version: 1.37_002

I'm new at this so I played it safe and use OMJ's ROM that said it was specifically for Verizon. I noticed he had newer ones out there but wasn't sure so played it safe.

When opening the GPS Viewer app, it connts with COM4 and numbers scroll across the screen but it never finds/locks any satellites.

did u do these steps to get assisted GPS working?... otherwise it wont lock so well unless outside and then it could still take a while.
Gaurentee it will make verizon touch gps work wonderfully. just follow steps closely!

for running DMrouter.exe, i had to instead use Fred Task manager(http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm), and run the application through its Run command (and literally type in /DIAG for the args). Resco's Run and ##3424 method didnt work for me. Also i only saw the 2 USB ports in the portion when you need to add the 2 ports (their pic has more ports).

also make sure GPS registry settings afterwards are on in HLKM/Software/HTC/SUPL AGPS

ServerIP 66.174.95.132
ServerPort 8888

All my roms are safe.....that Verizon version was based on the leaked Sprint rom....flash one of my latest 3.09 roms....then run the Verizon carrier cab.

I'll try not to come off like a jerk, but I already stated I'm sticking to the 3.09 base...it may be based on the bell rom, but it's generic....if it was clean, it would say so.

cant find anything else too unusual in the rom. this manilla rom is a wonderful treat.

Problem solved! There was an offending song on the microsd (from No Doubt of anything ). I don't know why, but I rebuilt my collection one by one and tried it. It now seems stable. If it ever happens to someone else, try this. It seems the new audio manager is more finicky, since that song was never a problem before. Anyhow! Loving the ROM!

umm, not sure.....which apps are you referring to, in these classic sprint roms?

Thanks OMJ-- and I wasn't saying that your ROMs aren't safe-- I just meant that as a newbie and doing this for the first time I was playing it safe and downloading the one that had "Verizon" in the title. After doing more reading, though, I'm with you-- I'm downloading your newest 3.09 and using the Verizon CAB. Thanks again!

yeah, I knew what ya meant....I just wanted to let ya know that the verizon version was basically a sprint rom but had the verizon customization.

you can also flash the bell official rom to upgrade your radio, just remember to skip the post-flash carrier customization.
