im interested in downloading your M2D rom but before i do it, i would like to know what are the differences between the custom rom and the clean rom.

The differences are listed in the first post.....the M2D ROM's are based on his 3.09 ROM's.

OMJ, I've been using your first release of Manilla ROM. It's works for me, thanks a lot. It's great how I don't need to use the start menu anymore.

STOP about asking about "RUNNING CUSTOMIZATION"!

OMJ's Roms have USER CUSTOMIZATION which won't do anything if you don't configure it. ( Do not worry about it )

OEM Roms from the manufacture have CARRIER CUSTOMIZATIONS that will mess up your phone if you let them run, and its not your CARRIER. For Example, if you have Carrier A and you flash with Carrier B and let Carrier B's customizations run on Carrier A phone. It can potentionally ruin your phone's settings. But Carrier A can run Carrier A OEM Flash Customizations with no problems.

Thanks for all the positive feedback....I'm really liking M2D too....it runs extremely well, and I'm getting MUCH better battery life than HTC Home!!

actually, I have already tweaked my m2d custom version, and it has the cube disabled, and a different comm mgr (i'm running it now). my m2d SE version also has the cube disabled.

note....it is disabled, not removed.

Quick question, I went back to 3.03(i like sprint's areacodes + camera ver) does 3.09 w/ m2d camera still have that annoying shuttertone that you can't really turn off?

yes it has the shutter sound, but there's a way to kill the shutter sound.

well the quick & easy answer.....check the differences between my 3.09 clean & custom roms, pretty much the same.

Hey OMJ, big fan of your ROMs (I like M2D as well)... I was wondering, when you release your next ROM, if the cube isn't disabled by default, could you throw a .cab in to disable it?

So back at post 701 OMJ mentions this little small rom called the Special Edition rom. He didn't say must have or best rom ever...he simply stated it was a SE rom. Well fellow ppcgeeks, I am here to tell you that it is very easily the most fluid, sharp looking rom I have installed on the touch to date. The blue background is a very neat change and I LOVE the weather icons. As you all know, it rains here in Seattle on occasion. Before I left work today I checked the weather and there were rain drops on the screen. I cool wiper came down and cleared my screen for me. Now, I am 37 and it takes plenty to impress me. But I have to admit that with the little wiper coming down...well it just made my evening. Really neat!

The battery has lasted all day without charge Thats working since last night.g Thats with direct push on 2 accounts and music for 1-2 hours today. I just put it in the charger tonight and it said I still had 33%. Amazing.....

Thanks for your work OMJ. I try other "flavors" from time to time but always end up coming back to you. I would encourage others to try his SE rom if you have not done so yet. You will be plesently suprised.

Any updates on fixes for bluetooth? I still can't get PAN to work, and the other bluetooth profiles act quirky. I've tried the registry tweaks posted here.

I know I'm not the only one for whom this problem remains unresolved.
