You shouldn't need to backup contacts though, I never have for flashing to different custom ROMs or hard resetting. The contacts manager on my pc keeps all the contacts. Flash, hard reset, sync up and it syncs all my old contacts. If you want to prove this to yourself, have the phone disconnected and go into contacts on outlook. If you don't have outlook it should show up in start menu -> accessories -> address book, I believe. If you are concerned however you can backup using SPB or one of the other many backup programs just to be sure... especially if you want stuff other than just contacts backed up. The biggest pain is reinstalling programs I think. Last edited by blisk; 06-27-2008 at 03:16 AM. |

Here is a program that will backup all contacts, texts, and call history. Hope this works out for you! I attached the file, just unzip and place in your Touch and run it. Good luck!

All i have to say is... Damn this thread is getting long. I went to work for five or six hours. When i came home there was 8 new pages to read! So has anyone checked their www.sprint.com to see if there are any kind of extra charges, especially of the data kind? Last edited by Negrito; 06-27-2008 at 04:57 AM. |

Anyone else seeing their Phone app open up in the background after installing any cab files? I went on an installing spree yesterday and after each install, the phone app was open. Even after soft reset.
Extremely annoying. Last edited by DssTrainer; 06-27-2008 at 06:47 AM. |

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
so does PIM Backup work for restoring your contacts, text messages, etc?
I don't mind reinstalling all my software, but I don't want to put all my contacts back in. Thanks |
