Re: Verizon XV6900 upgrading tutorial and troubleshooting!!! GPS enabled!!!
I found a quicker way to update the rom. it is copy & paste from other site, they recommand 2G or less for the MicroSD card, I have use 2G MicroSD work fine took less then 2 minutes for the upgrade to different rom
You must have install ImCokeMan's Vogue Unlocker 2.31 and upgrade your radio to spint or alltel radio first. Install the new rom

Re: Verizon XV6900 upgrading tutorial and troubleshooting!!! GPS enabled!!!
ka911,
I've been running DHARVEY's rom and everything works pretty good. I was just currious if the radio in the new Bell rom helped GPS, signal strenght, etc... Looking through the Bell ROM thread, I didn't see anyone saying they had tried it on a 6900, but it sounds like it has helped the GPS for quite a few others. |

Re: Verizon XV6900 upgrading tutorial and troubleshooting!!! GPS enabled!!!
have you tryed OMJs new ROM? its has the new Bell new release Rom, I have flashed my phone first with Bell and then I used OMJ rom for the software. everything work ok for me! some time my internet shared it has some issues but I beleive its my part mt the rom.
I don't know when when I try to use my PC conection for internet it will try to use #777, but I want to use my cable! my weather its working with PC sharing but my net just give me this problem.. |

Re: Verizon XV6900 upgrading tutorial and troubleshooting!!! GPS enabled!!!
You'll need to change your Internet Properties/Connection on your PC to "Never dial a connection". It's dialing #777 as a backup when the cable is not available.

I did fix it by doing:
Start > settings > Connections > Connections >setup my proxy server > deselect the chick box from this network connects to the internet then hit Ok now I can serve the net with out any problem. PS: does verizon has PPST? Last edited by ka911; 08-14-2008 at 08:37 AM. |

Re: Verizon XV6900 upgrading tutorial and troubleshooting!!! GPS enabled!!!
Is it still the case that pretty much nothing is working to get consistent quick GPS connections with a Verizon phone?
