just call verizon and say you cant make any calls. they will get u up and running. first time you goto a new radio, u need to reauthenticate. i had to call VZ myself. they ask you to call a number or 2 and then should work. i dunno maybe there is another way but that is easiest. just say your phone was acting funky all day after leaving it near a magnet haha, and now cant make calls at all.

I flashed my device on Sunday and had the same exact situation you are having. If you call #8899, they will ask you to hangup and call back on a different phone. So, call 1-800-922-0204 to speed up the process. I just told the Verizon tech that my phone locked up and I performed a HARD RESET to get it going again. They apololgize for the inconvinence and walk you through getting it going again. It only takes about 5 minutes and you'll have your phone working again.

Congrats on a successful flash!! I'm enjoying my GPS as well!

Re: Upgrading Tutorial For Verizon XV6900!!! Radio 3.42.30 with working GPS

Is anyone else using the xv6900 with a Motorola S9 headset? After flashing my ROM and using OMJ's Verison ROM, I cannot get my headset to work properly. There is a Utility called BT Audio that allows me to turn on/off the bluetooth audio. When I turn it on, I get sound but only through a single speaker (mono.. not stereo). And, the quality is very poor.

Is there a program I can install that would help me? A co-worker also has an xv6900 that hasn't been flashed, and my S9 headphones work just fine on his phone so I know it is not a hardware problem.

I will continue researching this and will post a reply if I find a solution. If anyone out there has already been through this and already has a solution, I'd deeply appreciate the assistance!

Thanks in advance!!

They should really make this sticky. Even though this is a derivative of existing guides almost every sticky is geared towards Sprint (or other) and this will help Verizon users.

Now that I am back from vaca I'm going to start flashing my replacement phone and see if I can get some luck with gps.

So I've been reading tons of posts debating whether to take the plunge and still have one unanswered question. Will Verizon wireless synce still work after flashing? If so where do I get the software, none of the custom ROMs seem to include it.

DaddieO: I use a program called "acbtoggleBT" or find an A2DP Program. The one I use is from the ppckitchen. Here are some registry tweaks you might wanna try http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/archive/in...p/t-10640.html

And mikei: What exactly is "Verizon Wireless Sync"? Please explain

I don't use it but from what I have read it ties into out look and pushes e-mail out to the device. I personally think that it is not worth it when you can just add your pop/imap mail accounts and have your device pull them every 5 minutes or at your time choice. Also if you use exchange you can synch directly with the device.
