well, it seems that (in the words of the ancient poet Axl Rose) all i needed was just a little patience . . . i went to sleep and woke up and it was asking me to do the tap screen routine. now my device runs FAST!

OMJ ya I'm refering to the new Bell OEM ROM. I had installed the older one too! New one is better. I like being able to uninstall things when i get bored or them or find something better.

I just unlocked my Verizon 6900 using the 2.31 unlocker, updated my radio using the Alltell rom from the first post, and used the custom OMJ 6.1 Verizon rom.

My GPS is not working and I can't make phone calls/send text messages etc.

What's wrong!?

Okay, well I just called Verizon and they re-authenticated my phone. That fixed the phone call problem!

But the GPS still does not get a lock....OMJ or someone else, are there certain settings that should be enabled etc etc?

Also, 2 more quick questions...

What is AEbutton and why does it pop up whenever the phone restarts?

Is there a way to get rid of the battery indicator in the corner? I like the task manager thing better.

Is there any way to uninstall any of the programs that come with your release OMJ? Or do I have to cook my own ROM?

• Removed HTC BootSplash (didnt really remove, just not added..I would assume by now most everyone has it already)
• Removed MMS (not need for Sprint)
• Added HTC Diamond Keyboard (thx rstoyguy)
• Added TouchPal v3 for WM6.1
• Added Skyfire browser (it's Beta, so u need to sign up for access http://www.skyfire.com )
• Added AEBPlus.cfg (I have it set for left arrow + long press= start menu, right arrow + long press= ok/close)
• Disabled HTC Home Sprint @ startup
• Re-arranged shortcuts on Start Menu (thx rstoyguy)
• Modified shortcuts & names on a few items on the Cube
• Updated GPS-Today (thx rstoyguy)

OK I ran cokeman's unlocker and it says connect your device before continuing. Press any key. Initializing. The system cannot execute the specified program 6 times. The next step will be to load a temporary SPL to run With JumpSPL. Press any key to cont. Is this normal or am i doing something wrong?

Can i continue with this or abort trying to unlock?

does anyone know how to use gpsviewer/gps today to get a faster and/or more accurate lock to use in conjunction with our gps programs?
