Did the Sprint "Test" Rom first for the new radio, then V2 Bell OEM Rom from OMJ

I have a quick question, how do I get it to show the battery status instead of time in the Top Menu bar?

I used "MacFloBBSupernovaAlltel" and it is working fine with OMJ's sprint v.2 rom. the file/files can be found on a post here on ppcgeeks, it was posted a week ago or so.

PPST should not be in any of my roms.....but no, the PPST that was from the leaked rom should not be run unless your carrier is Sprint. Updating your PRL is fine, but it should have not affect on GPS........try using GPS viewer 1st, then open Google, & run GPS.

Bell rom uses 10% increments? lame....I had only changed the Sprint rom for the 1%....Alltel, Verizon & Bell are still the stock battery....I'll put it in v2.

Yeah, I'm not sure.....every carrier uses #777 to connect to their data network.....I was able use data on every carrier rom.

you can change HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\"ShowTitleBarClock"=0 but then you will have the dialpad popup issue.....there's another reg setting for the battery, I just need to find it.

*edit* found the other battery regedit, but it puts a battery icon in the bottom right tray....yuck

I have the same stats as you and ran it the same way, cept ive used about 3 or 4 different roms since upgrading with the leaked Sprint rom. Everything works but even with GPS Viewer as a primer I'm not getting locks.

Installed the latest OMJ incarnation for VZW and I am getting an error when trying to tether and connect. I do like that I can use the VZAccess Manager as it has some other features that are useful, sometimes. The error is "There was a hardware failure in the modem (or other connecting device)."

On the phone in Comm Manager the selection for Modem Link is selected and set to Start. The screen does not do anything else and when I go into comm manager again it shows the modem link as off. Clicking it only brings up the Modem Link screen again and the Start is grayed out and the Stop is available making it look like it is on.

Current signal strength is EVDO with 2 bars.
Data connection with phone only works like a charm and GPS works great as well.

Any ideas?

EDIT: The Modem Link in Comm Manager is supposed to launch Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) but instead it launches a Start and Stop Modem utility that does not seem to do anything. Now if I launch ICS from the menu: Start -> Programs -> Internet Sharing the ICS program starts as usual. That way the tethered connection works. VZAccess Manager does not work with it though which is not a huge deal but just wonder a couple of things: What does the Modem Link in Comm Manager do? Can it be changed to actually work or changed to be like some others that actually says Internet Connection or Internet Connection Sharing? Is there any way to get VZAccess Manager to work? It is a convenient way to get data usage and some other features about your account.

I use google maps, it takes sometime to lock but it does after a few minutes

This is a fine ROM, and ive got the GPS to work about only 3 times though. It find Sats. however it wont obtain locks. Its very strange ive played with all the settings. It would be nice for some suggestions. I am on sprint and have the Sprint customizations, and all. I do have the newest release. New radio and followed all the directions to a T. I've flashed roms before and am a avid user of omj roms. So any suggestions would be helpful. Read through this thread as well which is a bit hard to do lol.
