Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I just bought an HTC Touch for Alltel. The only problem really have with it is the lack of threaded SMS. I was told that WM 6.1 has the best solution to that problem. I don't know much-anything about "ROM" and "Flashing", so is there anyone that could help me figure out how to either add that program onto my phone or anothe Threaded SMS program that works well? Thanks a lot guys. I'd appreciate any help!!

update well it looks like using v2 did no good still reboots about 15 sec after everything loads.

1st...I assume it is resetting after User Customization only after flashing? or does it reset after every bootup?

2nd...I assume you are referring the the address in GPS-Today....go into options to adjust.

Where the sprint rom was giving me approx 14 hours of battery life without ANY usage. The other roms are giving me 2 days, with moderate usage.

I hope these help you guys out, and hope that we can get to the bottom of this issue.

hmmm, well I really didn't see much difference from one rom to another....there really is very small differences between each rom, but every one is about 90% based on the leaked rom. I'm not sure what you are using to guage your battery life, but I personally feel the battery life is the same as it always has been. Of course extended GPS use will drain the battery.

I typically get about 14 hrs of life w/ moderate use, & I have 4 pop3 accounts that check every 30min + outlook exchange push. ie...I've been on battery 6 hrs so far today, down to 80%......I have never ever seen 2 days of life on any rom. I just dont know what to tell ya....but if yer happy on the Bell rom...........

My camera

I can take pictures and video and the counter is decreasing but sometimes the file shows up as a black square with an "X" and when I try to access it, it states that the file is not a valid JPEG. Or, there is no file at all. This does this on pictures and video and since i've upgraded mine and my wifes phones with the same ROM, we both have the same issue.

Camera album comes up fine and after sync, all my previous pictures are there but nothing new will save but the counter is decreasing. I looked in the book and correct me if i'm wrong but all i have to do is click the camera button as the shutter and just wait for the preview to go back to camera mode and the picture should be saved....right?

Any ideas? I looked or at least tried to look for an answer but there are tons of threads so if there is something out there, can someone lead the way please?

I'll have to do some testing, as I dont use the camera much.....but unless this is a bug from the leaked rom, nothing else added/tweak should have affected the camera.....are you using the OEM or custom version? did u notice this issue when using the leaked rom?

I spent the last half hour trying to duplicate your problem with the camera and I can't.
So to help isolate the problem:
Where are you saving your pictures to? Phone or memory card.
What size of memory card do you have?
What modifications have you done to the rom?
What programs have you installed, any Post-flash customizations.
Do you have any other memory card issues?

im confused.... i thought my tests were very consistent...today i tried them on another bell touch (my friends). Im using just the original stuff for the battery meter (the vista hide battery guage) and the quickmenu meter.

The results were consistent with this phone as well. Im not sure, but i mean, if the bell rom works, it works. haha. thanks again for all the hard work. Because of you, im living in luxury with my touch

Is there a way to fix the loud buzzing noise when a second call comes in?
First there's a couple loud tones and then the normal beeps for the second line coming in.
