Alright, reloaded the V2 Bell ROM, GPS BABY! OMJ you're the man, cool guy! Holy battery eater batman. On battery power alone, 1 hour of GPS in my car, took down 1/2 of my battery with PHONE OFF! ouch, time to find a DC car adapter.

had to post and say thanks. this was my first experience with a custom rom and so far its awesome. i usually have to load apps from a hard reset for 2 hours and after installing your rom, i ended up removing more than half of em.

decided to try it for the "sprint only" gps fix that got ported to alltel (the PPST load) and it worked like a charm. I get locks in 20-30 seconds. very happy i took the risk and it worked just like folks said (once you remember to turn on location service!) looking forward to future releases.

just wanted to post a thank you.

however, I have unlocked the 6900 with CoKe 2.31 and upon loading the OMJ ROM, the phone reboots and freezes at the splash screen..

even after changing the unlocker to using the .41 unlocker, issue still exists.

any ideas?

mine is doing the same thing . . . it's freezing at the Windows Mobile screen and then goes blank and won't do anything till i reboot . . .

correction - if i plug in the USB cable the screen comes back on, but it's still hung up at that WM6 screen . . .

can someone tell me what the PPST.exe file does that everyone's talking about? if it actually does anything useful, am i able to use it with a verizon phone running on OMJ ?

and lastly, after i've got OMJ up and running, my phone stopped syncing with mobile device center (active sync for vista users). has anyone else shared this problem?

Try StartMenu -> Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC and check Enable advanced network functionality. I have to change this when switching from my Vista laptop to my XP desktop.

EDIT: The Modem Link in Comm Manager is supposed to launch Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) but instead it launches a Start and Stop Modem utility that does not seem to do anything. Now if I launch ICS from the menu: Start -> Programs -> Internet Sharing the ICS program starts as usual. That way the tethered connection works. VZAccess Manager does not work with it though which is not a huge deal but just wonder a couple of things: What does the Modem Link in Comm Manager do? Can it be changed to actually work or changed to be like some others that actually says Internet Connection or Internet Connection Sharing? Is there any way to get VZAccess Manager to work? It is a convenient way to get data usage and some other features about your account.

see this is where it gets more difficult to troubleshoot, cuz I'm a Sprint user, so I don't know how the carrier specific features should work. and when those features dont work, it's harder to figure out how to make them work

I would verify your PRI has been upgraded....did you run PPST.exe from the leaked rom?

cool, glad it's workin for ya.....when u say v2, are you referring to the latest bell rom?

yeah, GPS will chew up your battery!

Guys, follow the instructions on post #1....you MUST flash the leaked rom 1st, to upgrade your radio!!!
