any hard resetting, regedits, or file adds?

I have been having a weird issue lately which I am not at all certain is related to OMJ's ROM but here goes...
Everytime I soft reset my Touch comes back up in Landscape mode?!?!

Any chance that is a simple setting change?
I've looked through the settings and haven't found anything that jumps out at me...

the latest is very sluggish with menus/confirmation boxes/app load time..so im going back the v2 of last ROM

edit 10:10 CST: much better results....after flashing the leaked 3.02 ROM with the 3.37.15 radio, then flash again with ur previous v2 ROM ...GPS works way better...

Man it baffles me all of the problems I'm reading about and I've yet to experience. Let me find a piece of wood to knock on quick!!!

I installed the OEM, barely customized one.

Once again, I installed the leaked Sprint 3.02 ROM then OMJ's ROM in that order. Hell, now I'm afraid to flash anything in fear of my losing what I consider to be perfect.

All I have to say is that the GPS is useless. I am in New Jersey for business. We went to manhattan tonight and I couldn't get a lock on a satelite in the car the entire 30 miles. I got absolutely nothing in Times Square and all around the city. On the way back, we caught the bus and accidentally got off at the wrong stop. I thought to my self, "no problem, we aren't lost., I have GPS". Well F*** me. I couldn't get a lock for the hour and a alf that I wandered the New Jersey streets looking for my hotel. I even hard reset my device while walking hoping that the GPS would get a lock..... and NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't find a single satelite.

And here is the thing that pisses me off the most, when I finally got back to my hotel in Englewood, I placed my phone in the hotel window and I got a lock in about 30 seconds.

So here's the question, "Why could I not get a lock outside with wide open skies for almost 2 hours with a hardreset and multiple softresets. But as soon as I stopped and placed the phone in the window, it got a lock." -A GPS device is absolutely useless if you can't get a lock on it when simply walking around town. I had the phone in my hand and pointing at the sky ....... ARGGHHHH!!!!!!

I'm really going to give up on this device soon. It has been fun trying to get GPS working on it. But I guess, at the end of the day, it's a gimick. You certainly can't rely on it as I just proved this evening.

i just flashed my rom but i have a problem with active sync not working can some1 help me out

this is great.
gps works although it does take a bit to lock on...about couple of minutes.
but once it does...smooth sailing.
but always got to use gps viewer first.

i don't have a problem with touchpal as some are reporting.
i downloaded the standard from their site and installed that.
