Ok i get as far as the bootloader screen and i run the nbh exe which is the rom utility upgrade 3.27.4.3 program and it starts to update progress bar on phone and computer stay at zero then after about 25 seconds it says

"This utility update cannot be used for your PDA Phone. Please check your utility update." Error 294 Invalid Vendor ID

You've already flashed ImCokeMan's new bootloader to your phone?

well all is well with this rom. GPS took about 15 friggin minutes (longer than the hacked mogul 3.16 rom) but now works perfect, locks in about 20-30 seconds.

jd's rom is pretty stable, i have came across a few bugs with it, but im happy now, and short of the video drivers, am 100% happy with my touch.

Big ups to everyone involved in cutting sprint out of the equation and getting this working.

Having a bit of an issue...phone is already unlocked but I go to install the Alltell ROM and it hangs up at 0% for a good 5 minutes..loading dialogue only appears on PC, not on Touch.

Granted I am running parallels on a Mac so it may just be the sluggishness but I was wondering if this was normal or if any of you encountered this..and if there was any sort of solution to troubleshoot the issue.

I am at step 4. Trying to flash the Alltel rom.

I try to open the RUU file and I get the following Windows error: "Vogue has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." and it shuts down. I am running Windows Xp and have tried restarting multiple times.

Is anyone else recieving this error?

i think i fed up somewhere
i installed the bootloader but when i started up my phone after that it asked me to do all the setup stuff.

No, that's right. Do the setup, then connect Activesync (don't worry about setting up Activesync, just choose Cancel) then press Camera + Power + Reset to get into the bootloader.

Why aren't you using the Alltel .exe ROM? That's the easiest way. It's on the first post in the Alltel ROM thread.
