Re: How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch
May I ask what the Unlocking files do?
Also I do not have an internet connection. I followed the directions as best as I can understand. |

Re: How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch
Very sweet...worked first time through (I was always told in elementary school that I followed directions well - this is proof )
what i didn't realise was that i was going to lose all the touch apps like the touchflo...i liked the speed dial with pics feature, sprinttv is gone...although i didn't use it all that much...and now my phone says alltel when she boots - oh well...i do have gps and faster evdo...that makes me happy thanks to all who made this happen. hey, when sprint does release the rom update, will it be difficult to go with their update? |

I know I never let the cust run because it worked for more than a day and then all of a sudden just stopped.

Re: How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch
Update: I used the Touch and my Mio SIRFStarIII gps device on the way to work this morning. I was quite impressed with the Touch and it's accuracy, for the most part more accurate than the Mio. I also like having the satellite pics on the moving map display...I kept watching the images to see what had changed in my vicinity (still a significant amount of growth where i live). When the Touch first locked on, it showed my position within about 5 feet of my actual position. I was duly impressed. I was in a parking lot at a shopping center and the Touch had me right on, the Mio refused to accept the fact that I was not on a road and kept wanting to position me about 300 feet from where I actually was on the main road outside the shopping center. The Touch was just about fully charged when I started my commute (approx. 30 minutes) and I ran the Google maps the whole way, downloading sat pics as I drove along. When I got to work, the battery had lost one bar. Not too bad, but I think I'm going to need the car charger for the touch.
On that note, I do have a generic USB car adapter, does anyone know if can I use that with the Touch (using the Touch's pigtail of course)? |
