ok found it. for noobs like me: in winrar, right-click the .exe file then click Extract Here.
i loaded the bell VOGUIMG.NBH file in the stock 512 FAT32 microSD. then went to bootloader mode. my SPL still says 3.21. I'm on vista, so i'm going to try MTTY on XP. be back in a bit.

so i tried mtty 1.42 and that didnt work. need version 0.01.
the thread says other people have found it, can somebody point me to it please?

on mtty 1.42 i've done set 16 0 and task 8, it booted and loads alltell, not bell.

got any other ideas?

i'm stuck now. although i can make calls with the alltell rom. i also tried running the bell RUU with the phone on bootloader mode: this is what i used:RUU_Vogue_BM_WWE_1.19.666.1_1.59.10a_BM_NV133 _PRL31398_Ship
it was not successful and i got an UPDATE ERROR - the RUU is not for this particular phone.

Hmm. should i try the .40 unlocker? but i installed the one that has gps on it so it shouldnt work. should i just go to bell and ask them to give me a new phone? i just got it 2 days ago. should i just put it in bootloader mode and pretend i dunno anything? how do i explain the alltell image files? the phone still works (can make calls) just no connectivity to internet.

If your phone still works Just make sure you have a FAT32 formatted mem card and the official bell rom renamed insert mem card and load into bootloader mode. I have just done this on a bell vogue works lik a charm


to get into bootloader mode hold down the power and camera button and soft reset with the stylus

ps just to clarify I too had install a gps enabled rom and was able to do this

Hi I need some help... please. I have looked over these threads but cannot seem to fix my issue.

I used the Vouge Unlocker 2.31 and managed to update my NZT Touch (Vouge) with OMJ.3.03.04.Clean however when the phone starts it shows
M 03
B 01
R 1.54.00
D 3.09

And then locks on the HTC screen. I can get it into boot loader mode and it says
VOGU100
SPL-0.36.0000
CPLD-3

I can put the Original Telecom Rom from ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/ImCoKeMaN/roms/ onto a SD card and it will say loading but after waiting ages and reseting it makes no change. I also tried the vougimg2 from the unlocker on the SD card and it looks like that's loading but that also makes no difference. I can talk to the phone with MTTY and tried set 16 0 and task 8 but that made no difference...

I tried the RUU_Vogue_SPRINT_WWE_1.12.651.1_2.13.00_SPC_NV133_ Ship from the SD card and it comes back and says not allowed so something must be working. But when I try the Telecom one nothing happens!

Your phone is not actually unlocked, somewhere along the lines a step got missed or failed. You need to use the official TNZ rom now. it's been released by htc so just go to HTC's website and load it from there. The dumped one won't work if the bootloader says 0.36.

Good news there is hope - Bad news I cannot find the Official ROM on the HTC site. Appreciate your help here.

... no the TELUS install starts but then fails with an invalid Vendor ID. I'll try it on the flash card just in case. I guess TELUS is different from Telecom NZ
