Unbricking Vogue / and downgrading SPL

still having issues...it says loading but nothings happening
on the screen it says
vogu100
spl-2.01.000
cpld-3
should'nt it say something else and how do i change it back to that...also...it states on my computer that usb device not recognized...
what the dilly yo..
does this mean that i have to spend 50 bills just to get a refurbish or can you assist...?

That is what it is supposed to do, wait for a minute, and reboot your phone. Now copy the other nbh file to your phone, and put it back into bootloader mode, and it will begin revert your phone back to Sprint original rom.

I think the unlocker extract to VOGUIMG.nbh (steps 3,4 and 5) aren't really needed, it just needs to be a signed stock exe rom copied as VOGUIMG.nbh and put on a fat32 sd card smaller than 2 GB.

PS: I made a few minor edits to first post to reflect this. I think that it has been causing confusion. If i'm wrong the edits can be removed....man i wish i had my phone to verify.

OKay im confused. I flashed the alltel firmware and i dont like it so i want to go back, but my phone isnt bricked or anything so why cant i just flash the old sprint firmware like i did the alltel firmware?

Correct me if I'm wrong, I remember a while back you bricked your phone trying to load the Titan radio onto the Vogue. HAve you tried to use mtty to unbrick your phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=371154

Am I understanding this correctly? So I can take any .nbh file and rename it VOGUIMG.nbh and install without the RUU or need unlockers? Can I go from Sprint's original ROM to JD's 6.1 Rev.A / GPS ROM using this method?

No, you need to flash Cokeman's 2.31 bootloader; you can find it on the unlocker sticky.

No not possible, because you need the GPS radio to go along with the GPS rom, otherwise the phone will not boot.

If you haven't done this yet, this worked for me when I was stuck on that screen:

Make sure you set ActiveSync to not accept USB connections before you do this.

I did some searcing and was able to get out of rainbow hell by using MTTY to connect via USB and issues the following commands...

cmd>set 16 0
cmd>task 8

BTW, I couldn't get this to work on my Vista machine. However, loading this up on my WinXP screen did the trick.
