Unlockers for Custom Roms on Vogue 2.31(GPS) and 0.40(nonGPS)

Unlocking will not erase everything from the phone like flashing or hard resetting just so you know!

hey guys im stuck on the first 3 color screen it said to disconnect then reconnect but active sync wont ever start up and the ruu said could not find connection,HELP

ok i made it through and it looked like a hard reset but i dont think it took. the RUU utility ran and i clicked finish, then the black screen said push any key to continue but then it gave an error msg that no usb connection detected and when i clicked ok it exited outta everything. my main memorys 148.98 and programs 104.95 but I cant remember what they was before. does it sound like it worked?

the easiest way to find out is going to be to enter the bl. hold the camera button, the power button, and poke the reset hole. continue to hold the afore-mentioned buttons until you see the tri color screen. tell us what it says there

Yes i am positive... it didnt when i flashed the Unlocker

and yes just look at the bootloader screen if its not unlocked... unlock again..

I've been trying to piece together all the info from this thread but am confused and concerned that most of what I see is by people with Sprint.

I am about to do the renewl/upgrade phone with Verizon and the VX6900 will cost me $100 when all is said and done. What I am hoping for is a single cellphone device that I can use to watch videos, play my mp3's, take decent photos with, use as a GPS with turn by turn directions (I don't really like vz navigator so would want to unlock the GPS), check my yahoo email with, and if possible browse ebay and other internet sights.

Will this phone fit the bill?

Is there a way to return it to OEM condition if I have a problem and want warrantee work done?

A lot of it.. Like the unlocking process will be the same... If you wish to go to a GPS ROM because I believe Verizon hasnt released one yet? Anyways you will have to unlock with 2.31 and then flash a Sprint GPS ROM and DO NOT LET THE CUSTOMIZATIONS RUN! use the stylus to reset the phone before they start or your really screwed...(I think it can be recovered but its hard i believe) anyways once you do that you can flash any GPS ROM you want.. like mine ... Anyways getting it back to stock is hard and very risky.. read the thread on it theres a whole thread devoted to it because you will have to downgrade back to a NON GPS ROM.. unless Verizon has a GPS ROM then this will be completely different.. the whole process will be.. and as for fitting your specified needs it will definitely do them all!

All, I need some assistance; I have read all 55 pages of this thread, another PPCGs thread (24xxx), a bunch of XDA threads, PPCHAVEN, etc.

Two days ago I exchanged my Vogue at VzW for a new one due to a case crack; in wanting to re-customize the new device, I attemped to run Coke 2.31; it ran through what i thought was a seemless unlock, however at the BL it still says SPL 0.36.0000; when i soft reset the phone boots to a PPCGeeks branded HTC Smart mobility screen and hangs.

I've run out of ideas to try; I'm running vista on my LT and XP on my PC; i've used MTTY (both vista and 1.42 versions) to set 16 0 (even though i was never hung a the BL), I've successfully ran titanexitbl, I've attempted to re-run the 2.31 unlocker and the 0.41 unlocker. I've tried using 1 GB, and a 512MB SD card with the verizon signed RUU on them (formatted FAT32 on a Vista machine, and on an XP machine; I've tried installing the VOGUIMG2 (renamed of course) followed by the signed RUU with a format in between imanges and reboots).

If I attempt to reflash in BL mode using an SD; i get to Loading... and it hangs
If I attempt to run the sprint released upgrade (to get a radio / gps update as if i were actually unlocked, yes i know i'm not) the sprint RUU says invalid device mfg and exits. (it does reset and play with the phone before erroring out)
I've tried reformatting my phone through MTTY (task 2; and rebooting (task 8, or boot commands)
I've tried re-running all the Coke unlockers (2.31, 0.41; i know they won't run from the BL screen but since i can't get into WM, i gave it a shot)
I've been extremely meticulous about following all instructions to a "T" however I'm still stuck....

SPL 0.36.0000
CPLD-3

boot screen says:
radio: 1.60.30
D: 3.03


After about 36 hours (nearly all straight) I've run out of gas and ideas....can anyone please help? I know the end goal is to get a stock rom reloaded so i can start over; however I can't seem to accomplish getting the signed RUU reinstalled.

wow. i am sorry, I gotta say you might have me here.

you shouldn't have to be unlocked to flash a signed carrier rom.

im i correct in assuming that you are trying to flash all the different roms straight from the bl? (as opposed to just letting it boot as far as it can then trying to flash w/o the device being recognized)

keep in mind that you COULD TECHNICALLY return it to vz and say that it wont boot tho i wouldnt recommend that just yet...

try shooting a pm to imcokeman.

hmm jeez idk...

are you using a usb hub or a port directly on the pc?

let us know any more details you can figure out, im sure that through a collaboration of ideas and help we can get ya fixed up

Thanks for the response; I did PM imcokeman yesterday as well, I am using the USB port directly on the PC and on the LT, I have been using BL for flashing; actually hadn't thought of trying to let it boot as far as it can in OS then attempt flashing.

I did think about exchanging it at VzW, but with it booting to a PPCGeeks startup screen then hanging; i figured they would throw me out. Plus, it wouldn't be a challenge if i just cheated and started over with a fresh phone....what would we learn from that?

Please let me know if anyone comes up with other ideas, I will try the OS boot and flash idea today at lunch.
