Quick question.... if I can press power, camera and soft-reboot and get the tri-color screen, does this mean my phone is unlocked?

Does it say
PSL-2.31.CoKe
on the second line in that screen?

Thank you for your quick response... no it says SPL-0.36.0000

I had tried to install OMJ's custom ROM now it sits at the HTC screen, probably because it isn't unlocked correctly as you pointed out.

When i try to run the unlocker now, i get no device connected on the first step even though the tri-color screen has USB shown on it and is connected.

I'm trying to install 2.31 on a Vogue that has 2.01.0000 installed on it. Everytime I try it stalls out at 0% and tells me to reset my device. It doesn't seem to want to overwrite it, I tried searching this thread but my can't come up with the right keywords. Any help?

Durrr...been a while since I unlocked the phone. I was using the RUU to get it going. I redownloaded and started fresh and forgot all about the cmd window doing some magic first. Got it unlocked, cheers!

You need to be able to boot into windows mobile to run the unlocker.. you cannot do it from the Bootloader/Tri color screen

Marcjc, I'm in the same boat..... SPL 0.36.0000; I'm still researching and looking for a way around the problem. So far it looks like we're in for a trip to the VzW to get a new one.

Im not a big fan of Verizon.. They still dont have a GPS ROM for the Touch? Am I right? Because Im not sure but either way it would help and its been so long
