Re: Unlockers for Custom Roms on Vogue 2.31(GPS) and 0.40(nonGPS)

Does anyone know why the unlocker wont run for me in Vista. Probably an issue with my computer but I tried running in XP Compatibility mode and it's the same issue.

The dos window opens when I double click the .exe but closes imediately after.

Re: Unlockers for Custom Roms on Vogue 2.31(GPS) and 0.40(nonGPS)

I'm having trouble with the unlocker, no matter what I do it always comes up error 262. I am able to activesync, then once the progress bar appears on the Touch I hear my Vista PC unload the USB device, then load it up again. I've tried reading through most of the 75+ pages on the thread for similar problems, but none of those fixes seem to work for me. I do have a question that might help me solve this.

A few months ago I upgraded from 6.0 to 6.1 using another non-official HTC Rom. (Can't really remember which forum I got it from). Now, I'd like to to upgrade to 6.5. Do I need to revert to the official HTC Rom first?

PC and Phone:
Windows Vista
Sprint HTC Touch
Windows 6.1
ROM version 3.03.651.4
ROM date 6/30/08
Radio version 3.42.30

Thanks for your help.

If you are running a custom rom already did you unlock it the first time? If so you shouldn't have to unlock it again. And i wouldn't revert back to 6.0.

I believe I did. My memory is toast on exactly what I did when I upgraded to 6.1, lol. So I just should try installing the new ROM?

When your phone goes into bootloader you can see if it has been unlocked. It will say 2.31 in the top left. Do you have a custom Rom on your phone now or just the sprint upgrade? if it's a custom rom go ahead and run the new rom.

Bootloader screen says:
VOGU100
SPL-2.01.0000
CPLD-3

Your going to have to run the unlocker then. Run the executible. when it tells you to disconect, disconnect for 15 sec. then plug it back in then continue with the screen.

Re: Unlockers for Custom Roms on Vogue 2.31(GPS) and 0.40(nonGPS)

I just tried doing this at work on a Windows XP Professional PC. Same problem. I installed ActiveSync 4.5, paired it up no problem. I run the unlocker or ROM and it gets to the screen where it shows the % bar. I hear activeSync disconnect (which I'm sure is suppose to happen), and I hear the PC kill the USB connection. The USB then connects a second later but just sits there at 0% until the 262 error shows up. Any suggestions on what I should try next?

I never get to any step where it asks me to disconnect.

Your computer should go to the command screen and when you phone goes to bootloader the computer will tell you to disconnect you phone then reconnect and press enter. then it should run the rest of the way.
