i would like to know that too.. when i called i asked if i was going to get a new tp2 or a refurb, and he said he didnt know that, it could be either one... i hope is a new one.
also i called this morning like at 9 00 am and still havent got a email confirmation.

Just got my email too. They said it was NIB but could be a refurb. I am highly anticipating NIB because I don't think that many people took a TP2 back. Maybe that is why they offered the TP2 as a replacement so they could get in more TP1s. We just got lucky.

i tried this with Verizon (Asurion) and they are sending me a TP not TP2, i guess they are only doing this with Sprint...

You didn't try hard enough. I got my TP2 coming...It took a combine total of about 3-4 hours on the phone between late last night and this am, but I got a supervisor that authorized the TP2. I'll be here tomorrow

Im still waiting for them to review the stuff I sent in. Guess Im out of luck for getting a TP2 from asurion. I'll probably take another TP since sprint is willing to pay for it. Then try at the stores next week.

Rep told me they could only replace with TP. I asked for supervisor. I asked the super if he could make an exception due to multiple keyboard issues with the TP. He immediately agreed and will ship TP2 which he expects will be NIB and I will be required to return my TP.

Were you Verizon originally or were you part of the Alltel merger? I was part of the Alltel merger, and expressed that since my phone was through Alltel, it was 288mb of ram whereas the Verizon model only had I believe 192mb of ram, and after giving a lecture on the differences between ram and a storage card, they got me into a TP2.

made the phone call just now offered me the treo 850 i asked to speak to a supervisor when i did she said should would love to give me the touch pro 2 but they not instock now and she would give me a call sometimes this week when she have some so the waiting occurs

Did you guys have to give all ur license info and junk like that to get them to replace? I cant even get past them asking for all my info... Being on a list of people to send a TP2 to is just fine with me.

update to my earlier post.

When I called in the morning time they said they had one. But Asurion used to let you put the $100 on your next bill. Well I didnt deposit money into my card yet. So I told them to hold it, the rep said okay no problem at all.

I come back from running errands 1 1/2 hour later, called back a female picked up this time and she placed the order for me. But turns out I waited too long, I have one on order, paid them but she said it will be up to 5 business days until I can get my BNIB TP2. It's okay, at least I have to wait just a bit longer :D.

The first call occured ~11:45am-12:15pm

The second call occured ~ 1:45 pm

Oh well Im still happy that my service is cheaper than my friends with other carriers :D

Some of you guys pulling this off are ****ing it up for the others. Luckily as I said my guarantee worked out and my NIB is coming tommorow overnight shipping, but it sucks for some of you guys with real problems getting BSed cuz of all this fraud.

Not trying to burst your bubbles and I hope it does work out for you, but don't be surprised if at the end of this five day wait there's another one, and another, ad nauseum. There's actually an internal rumor of the TP 2 being killed off by sprint because of all this and the HD2 thats soon TBA, but that's just a rumor for now, I will keep you all updated when I hear more.

big deal, were gettin a tp2 for 100 right now without having to use upgrade.....so ill use the tp2 until hd2 comes out and get that with my upgarde, you lose.

I wonder if the different price has to do with the cell service provider? They only billed me $89 for my replacement...Unless I'm getting a refurb Oh well... A TP2 is a TP2

I call BS because I dont think there has ever been a phone [Sprint|Nextel] that came out and then EOL'd because another phone is coming out.

Its usually 6-12 months before anything.

Don't make me pull the thread up about Moguls getting replaced with Titans [6800].

And then the Titans getting replaced by a Touch pro.

i think if you got a bad one from them i think they would give you another one, but if you got one before for a while I think you'll have to pay the deductible

I had to fill it out today. I faxed it over and now Im waiting for them to call me back. I probably call them tomorrow to find if they looked at my documents yet.

Call them cause trust me they won't call you back, went through the same thing earlier in the year when I had to file a claim on my Vogue and was told I had to fax documents, a week went by without a call and I had to call them back

Yea it sucks but you can bring the papers into most corporate sprint stores (doesn't have to be a repair center) and they can fax it for you no charge. while the policy is a royal PITA if you follow up with them you can get the turn around down to a few hours.

You can scan the copies into your computer and plug a phone wire from your computer to the phone jack. Theres something thats built into windows for faxing. My computer has that but im not sure all of them have it.

Quick question for all those who were successful in receiving a TP2 - does Asurion still let you bill the deductible to your account or did they stop letting us do that?

Wow serious? U should've gotten a email directly after Asurion placed your order, and thanks to all who answered my question for me, I was wondering if they still allowed you to bill your account.
