Just got my TP2 ordered as well. :-P
Went to www.phoneclaim.com first to start my claim and offered me the Blackberry Curve, it asked to accept or deny it, once I denied it, it directed me to call asurion. Talked to the rep and she offered me blackberrys and the Treo pro. I told her nicely that those are not anywhere near comparable to the tp and I spent that much for the design and not having the keyboard on front as I accidentally pressed buttons while in my pocket. She apologized and told me that was all she was able to do. I kindly asked her if there was anyone else I could talk to offer me a real comparable phone, she then transferred me to her supervisor who was really nice and asked me why I didn't want the phones, he then put me on hold and then offered me the blackberry tour or the TP2. TP2 should be here on Tuesday. :laughing6: Claim was for a broken screen I legitimately accidentally broke getting out of my car.

Yo, I finally got through. That lady was giving me a hard time man! First she offered me a blackberry 8830 world phone. I was like, I have a sero plan and I cannot use blackberries on it. Then she offered me a tour and a curve. I'm like, Miss, did you not just hear me say that blackberrys are out of the question? Then she offered me a treo pro, I was like cant use those phones, the kb is too cramped. Then she goes, if you want to wai 3-5 business days, we'll have the tp1 in stock. I, of course, said, look, I need my phone and cant wait 3-5 bus days. Then I said, do you have the TP2 available as a replacement? She was straight up like NOPE, you cant get that. Thats considered an upgrade. If you want that, you'll have to call sprint telesales and order it. At this point, I'm ready to cuss her out. I said, miss, all I really want is the same phone I have now, the tp1, you dont have that available. I'm not willing to wait 5 bus days for it to be back in stock. The only phone sprint has that is comparible is the tp2. She goes, well, you can have it! I said to myself,wow, this is crazy. I said well miss, can I speak to someone else please. She goes, are you asking for a manager? I said yes. She says please hold. Then a manager gets on the phone and apologizes for the inconvienience. I told him the only phone that is comparable is the tp2. He agreed. He says I'll be getting the TP2 this monday or tuesday. YES!!!!!

Hell yeah! Congrats yo! I'm tellin u this is the longest weekend ever waiting for Monday to come, and to make it worse, its raining here, all day long. "Just another manic Monday....", not this time!

I called last night @ 8pm and it was just like taking candy from a baby. The rep told me that my TP2 would be here tomorrow (saturday). Well It has arrived!!!! Oh they wanted to offer me a blackberry 8330 as a replacement for my TP!! This is just to easy.

I WANT SATURDAY SHIPPING lulz.

At least today I will be at a Halloween party, then Sunday I will be gone the whole day. Monday is most likely shipping day and I HATE waiting for them to ship to my house. It's always late UPS deliveries for me now. But at least I have to SIGN every single time and I know when I will get the TP2 when it's in my hands :D

I've been living with the crappy keyboard malfunctions and huge oil slick on my screen because the local repair center wouln't fix it due to it being a cosmetic fix. Plus I didn't want to spend $100 on a replacement with the same problems.

Called this morning, had already been online to start a claim so the lady (black, if anyone cares) asks if I'm calling about the claim. I say yes, she goes through the motions and offers Blackberry xyz. I counter no thanks, I don't want to add the data package. She offers Treo, I say I need to keep my WinMo apps (which I do). She offers Snap at which I counter with the "but no touchscreen". She then apologizes but states that those are all the comparable phones available, only choice left is to wait 3-5 days for TP to be back in stock. End of conversation.

So I come here and take a little heart from the last few success stories and I call again. Wouldn't you know it, I get the same lady? She recognizes my last name since it's unique. I tell her that I went to the Sprint website and looked at the phones and thought the TP2 was a comparable phone. She puts me on hold for forever (2-3 min) and returns with good news: TP2 should here Tuesday, deductible on my Sprint bill. Thanks everybody!!!

Yeah man, it's raining down here in NC too. I think they get some kind of commission if they're able to get you to take a lesser phone than the TP2. Because they REALLY do not want to offer a TP2 as a replacement.

Actually, they get paid on customer satisfaction.

Same thing in the store, I used to get paid on customer satisfaction and how many phones I sold period. Not by selling a cheaper phone. A sale was a sale.

Someone earlier in the thread had made a comment about a "mean black lady" or something along those lines. I was merely pointing out that the one I dealt with was actually quite helpful, I even took the survey and gave her high marks.

Finally Success.. Just got off the phone with them and after she tried to offer me the BB, Snap and Palm Pro I explained to her why they were not accecptable. She then tried to order me another TP1 and I declined cause all the refurbs I have had.. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the TP2 will be here on Tuesday or Wednesday. I have been reading these posts for days and all the success stories really helped me out.. And the fact that this is my 3rd TP1 in less than a month may have helped also.. Is it TUESDAY YET!!!!!

After explaining to them I couldnt get a Blackberry because that would raise my bill for the Blackberry Data plan and telling them I had fat fingers and the Treo Pro had cramped keys; I asked for a supervisor. He was very very chill. I explained to him everything you guys have said here and bam "Im Sorry for the Incovinience Mr. SEXY, I could offer you a Touch Pro 2 and it runs windows mobile and has a Slide Out Keyboard. Would you want that? Me: Fuk Yeah lol, I was like sure if it has a Slide Out Keyboard and has Windows Mobile. Finally, after 6 calls and one being hung up on. Guys, be patient and dont be a pain to the reps, once they tell you the only phone that is most comparable, just tell the rep you have fat fingers or something and ask for a supervisor, "NICELY". The Supervisors will feed your need lol. I will be joining lots of you here at the Touch Pro 2 forum. I should be getting my Touch Pro 2 either Tuesday or Wednesday. I will miss my Touch Pro but you cant miss on a TP2. :laughing6:

Yeah, listen to him guys lol. The Rep mentioned that they were not going to have the Touch Pro for a long time. She mentioned that the Manufacturer (HTC) had recalled the phones and they have not been able to get new or refurbished Touch Pros. Weird but honestly, The Touch Pro was very problematic, specially tf you had the 001 or 002 Touch Pros I believe.

Sweet, called Asurion and my TP2 will be here Monday or Tuesday at the latest. I was offered a BB Tour, BB Curve, or HTC TP2. Don't get me wrong, the Blackberries are great phones, but the TP2 is the natural progression.

asurian and vzw have the item..its just slowly being taken off the shelves.
they have not recalled the item, its just being pushed aside considering all the new devices that are coming out.

why support something that's old when u have new, couple hundred dollar more devices. push new items for more money rather than an older item for less.

Thats what the rep told me. Yo but isnt the Touch Pro from Sprint and the one from Verizon different? Maybe thats the reason.
