Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2

I opened up a ticket with Asurion via their website on Sunday and the phone arrived today. BNIB TP2 to replace my damaged eBay bought TP.

I'm pretty impressed with Asurion. It took all of 5 minutes to file a claim and 2 days later I have an overnight'ed replacement. The fact that they upgraded my phone was icing on the cake. Sure it cost me $100 but it sure beats having to buy another phone due to water damage.

Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2

Asurion is the cat's meow. Ordered the TP2 via website at 4PM yesterday and it's already on my doorstep next day.

Asurion is highly recommended to everyone with a smartphone.

They dont "tell" you anything...you click through the screens, and it shows you the replacement...if you dont like it, cancel it. If you like it, continue with the claim. Process takes like 8 minutes man

No, you dont have to complete. It should show that either they have the TP in stock or they dont, in which case they can provide a TP2. All they list is a model # though, it doesnt say TP or TP2. But you dont have to complete the transaction to see.

Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2

Interesting ... my TP took a dip in a puddle and I pulled the battery as fast as I could get to it. It wouldn't power back up so I submitted a claim with Asurion but didn't pay attention. I needed a phone and was locked into whatever they were offering. Is there any way at this point to determine what they are sending? I am looking at the claim e-mail and tracking e-mail and neither includes a model number (that I can identify).

Best regards,
-boggsie

Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2

man..it's a bit upsetting how easy you guys are getting new tp2's so easily, but at the same time am happy for you.

I got suckered into getting bet buy's insurance back in nov 1 2008 because they supposedly "swap your phone for a new one on the spot". Last week I went in because my spacebar doesn't always work. Guess what? new policy, no more swapping phones. I got a loaner phone which required deposit, had to wait for them to ship the phone off to a repair center.

10 days later, (yesterday), picked up my phone. _Same_ exact phone. Technician notes read "adjusted phone settings". Spacebar still only works half of the time, annoying when texting. I'm not one of those guys who wants a free phone either. I've had the same phone since day 1, in Nov 1 2008. /end drama
