I agree, but there are 146 pages of posts as of mine and some things though you read it you need to try. I didnt mention any list and stated i need a slider phone. Those reps dont know anything given she offered me a Treo pro, Intrepid, BB and a WM stardard phone (I forgot but i remember that it had no touch). Maybe there needs to be a sticky like:

Points to keep in mind:

1. If you are on your 1st handset still, dont even bother.
2. Do not contact Customer Service because they will not and can not give you the TP2
3. When you go to a store (mainly a authorized repair center), do not mention what you read or even anything you know. Go in asking for the same phone and dont budge
4. Be nice!
5. As mentioned in step 3, do not mention any research you have done, and site you saw it on etc...
6. As we all know the downfalls of the phone and if you are going to fib a little, make sure its things that are consistent with what is universally known (experienced 1st hand, not known by just reading) such as poor battery life, overheating, faulty keyboard. In other words, things that they cant fix by reflashing the phone.
7. Be nice
8. And finally, share your experience with us so we can all read about as many instances as possible

big ol plus one. i'm trying to help also because a week ago today, i had just picked up my bnib tp2 from the sprint store! i got it by reading the ENTIRE thread, not just the last page!

i agree with everything except this, as this was how i got mine. called tech support 10/28 and they sent me to a repair center, repair center ordered and i got it 10/29. but what people have to realize is that this WILL NOT work for everyone. as radar stated, keep trying different stores or *2 reps. the tech told me sprint was doing this, so remain calm and it'll happen.

A lot of people saw this thread and went to the sprint store just to see if it worked......and for some of those people it did! DUDE, THAT'S WHAT I SAID BACK IN LIKE...like.......May or something! I was pissed Because I went from a Mogul which had a 3.2 inch screen or something like that to a TP with a 2.8 inch screen......very very very pissed off! Granted its a better device than the Mogul but.....for real....HTC?!?!?!?!?!?!

My wife said the same thing though!

When I saw it for the first time online I was like "why didn't they make the TP2 as the TP1 and have the TP2 a whole different device, something with a Tegra processor in it or something?!" More people would actually wanted to BUY the phone if that was the case & not do a WE!

i have no complaints...the screen size is great but i wanted a phone to work. my only grip is the stock opera only has 2 tabs but i can fix that. sorry for the thread-jack and don't want to sound like i'm bragging! but this thing is definately better than the tp! i wish everyone who has read this thread or your(radar) post good luck!

I'm complaining.......stock rom on the TP2 is 1 million times better than the stock rom on the TP........but I'm not complainin' though!

Wha? Which Mogul did you get? My mogul was a 2.8" screen just like the Touch Pro.. Did you mean something else?

The only one I see a problem with is number 2. I was still on my first TP but I think it had to do with my particular situation on why I was able to get mine. It maybe harder for people on their first TP to get a TP2 but it is possible. It is just up to the stores discretion. I agree with everything else you said though.
