with the sprint warranty I have got around 7 free HTC 6700 phones, 4 to 5 6800 (mogul) phones, and I'm on my second HTC Touch Pro.
I have not paid a dollar for one of them nor paid a dollar to upgrade phones! Everytime I upgraded it was because the phone was discontinued and sprint had to upgrade me to the next best thing!

Yea I hear ya. I upgrade from Mogul to TP thanks to the insurance. It's well worth paying 7$ a month for it. Especially for a expensive phone like the TP.

My keyboard stopped responding. I have insurance and took my touch Pro to the sprint store. they didnt have any keyboards so they ordered a new phone free of charge. Go sprint!!!

It will most likely be a refurbished phone, but it looks and feel like a new one nevertheless

Thanks for all the feedback. To clarify, my phone right now is the original NIB one that I purchased from Sprint (new contract & switched from another carrier when I got this phone). It's not refurbished, but the one with which they're offering to replace it is refurbished, and the replacement would carry only a 30 day warranty. (The warranty I have right now, if I don't accept the replacement, is one year from the date of original purchase, which would give me a few more months). Sounds like the way to go is to try to fix it myself, and/or accept the replacement and get insurance on the replacement. Thanks, everyone!

refurb units dont look new. i got 2 refurbs in a row and they had obvious defects.

That is weird then as for all my refurbed devices in the past (only had 2 TP ever and then other phone from other family members) and they all look like new.. view the attachments. Or maybe it is just luck or something?

Try the advanced exchange/replacement program online. I have had good luck through them.... NIB replacements!
