Moisture Idicator Strip

Hey, I was just wondering if the indicator strips on the Touch Pro can be affected by heat as well as moisture. My phone got really warm while on a car charger and when I opened it to remove the battery I noticed that the indicator strip had a red pattern showing on the white strip. I believe that the strip turns pink when it gets wet, but isn't is supposed to be solid white when new? I was just curious if maybe it also displays this pattern if it gets to hot? Can someone please explain exactly how these strips are supposed to work?

Thanks

It comes with a red "criss-cross" pattern on a white strip. This means its OK. If the whole strip turns red/pink then it got wet.

Re: Moisture Idicator Strip

Heat will not affect it unless you have VERY high humidity level, (98%) in a very hot, (140+) enclosed compartment for several hours on end.

The default pattern is white with a light pink x pattern across the "wet" indicator. As long as it isn't solid pink, you're good to go. (solid white indicates tampering/replacement).

Mine does not have one in it. I am assuming this is something in the battery section, did you buy this or did it come with your phone?
