I don't agree with this (respectfully) ...the reg edit doesn't take at all. I use Resco Registry to make the change, and if I go up and come back into the settings section it has already changed back from Sprint to "Phone as Modem". The switch is instantaneous.

10 4 man, hopefully we ll get a perm solution shortly. back looking.... I saw that Yay 4 jugg said it is cm gaurdian that keeps reverting that isht back....

Thanked, and y4j's post too. I will try that solution - perhaps that's the answer to this until someone tears apart the new ROM and simply removes cm_guardian from it.

tools used; dotFred's Fdcsoft Taskmanager & GSFinder+
1. dotfred, process tab; stop HTC_CM_Gaurdian.exe
2. make dummy file (I just use a txt file I rename to make a dummy file)
3. gsfinder; select dummy file and send to / copy to \Windows
yes to overwrite.
4. reboot.
