Re: Juicy 8 vs Energy ROM
EnergyROM all the way, and I don't give a C R A P about battery this and that, if you know where to look and read, you can make the battery do better, I think it is a lame thing to say, I like it but " the battery (fill in the blank here)

Re: Juicy 8 vs Energy ROM
I have energy running on a spare TP I use for testing & the battery life blows.
If you "don't give a C R A P about battery this and that" that is all fine & dandy for you, but a lot of people are looking for increased battery life from a new ROM & you definitely won't get that from energy. I have installed/calibrated Lumos in that setup & done every battery saving tip I have ever seen posted to it & the battery life is still WAY lower than other 6.5 ROM's I have tested (& I've tried them all) ~John |

Re: Juicy 8 vs Energy ROM
I have been a Juicy Fan for the longest time running it both on me and the wifes phones. Made the switch over to Energy because Juicy has not updated in almost 4 weeks and I needed something new
![]() There Both great roms and both fast. Juicy's is just a little cleaner. Now if I can only figure out how Juicy makes his text so large in his roms. I cannot figure it out for the life of me Last edited by Briz600; 08-12-2009 at 05:31 PM. |

Re: Juicy 8 vs Energy ROM
Hmmmmmm..... my phone on NRG doesnt draw anymore more than Juicy8, using NueBattery/Power to read the battery draw.

Re: Juicy 8 vs Energy ROM
Both roms are great but Energy seems to be more fluid on my device.
I personally love Mystery rom as well. |

Re: Juicy 8 vs Energy ROM
I would have to say they are all great.
Juicy's rom is very very nice and stable. but development slooooooowed down so things get out of date pretty quick I used NFSFAN's rom for quite a while, at it was also one of the nicest roms i have ever seen for staying close to minimal. But my vote is going to go for the EnergyROM. Battery problems on the new releases are nonexistent with Lumos installed, NRG caught allot of heat (so to speak) because he likes his backlight RAWR bright. But Lumos fixed that power addiction and now my phone lasts all day long with juice to spare with heavy use. no charging neccesarry. yanks down like 150 mA with phone and data.

Re: Juicy 8 vs Energy ROM
I've been a long time Juicy user. I recently tried the energy rom(mostly because i wanted to try out manilla 2.1), and I guess that is more of what i'm looking for: a loaded rom. I used it for a couple days and didn't really see any battery issues, but the thing that killed it for me was the awful awful sound distortion. It was extremely hard to talk on the phone with all that crackling. I didn't see any issues really besides that. It was really fast as well, but i need to be able to talk on the phone. Back to juicy now.
