from my experience i would tell you to try calling up tech support @ 1-877-654-9111 option 2, thats what i did, even tho here are 3 repair centers within 20miles of where i live but they didnt do anything for me... if its still under warrenty call center will SHIP ONE TO YOUR HOUSE and youll get an empty "padded envelope" to put your broken tp and batt in and just send it back within 15days, and youre set.

at least thats what i did, and im on my good working tp now

Ok how did you explain to them that you needed a new phone? And do I know if I have warranty still?

i told him my situation, if you read couple posts up theres my full story,, pretty much i told him that my phone is still under warrenty and the keyboard stopped working which is a very vey common issue with the tp's,

warrenty is 1 yr from the date purchased, so basically, i bought mine nov 4th(i think) 2008, so my warrenty will expire november 4th, 2009, so if it happenes again by then they have to replace it again.

if u put your battery in that package, u got screwed... it specifically says on the package NOT to include your battery and to put just the phone in ONLY... u couldve had a spare battery

work for sprint all you want.. as long as its not water damaged and powers on, AE will replace it for free...

just seems like a quest for "Thanks" if you ask me...

i help all the time... especially when i see Asurion or AE threads...

but i still think its poor ettique for you to stand tall and represent Sprint(like u tried to do with me) then tell people to scam em by saying they lost the handset... you can even find a post wherei told a guy, " you could say u lost it, BUT, you shuld send it back in cuz thats one more refurb someone can have after its reconditioned

good to know,,, however, me being the guy whos atually afraid of the law and fraud and all that stuff, i read, and i asked customer service about the battery when i activated my new one.. on the envelope all there was was the return add for sprint in KT, nothing else, in the box with the tp was a paper CLEARLY STATING and i quote for this one "REMINDER: PLEASE KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL BATTERY AND CHARGER, UNLESS WE HAVE SUPPLIED A REPLACEMENT, IF A REPLACEMENT IS SUPPLIED AND THE OLD BATTERY AND/OR CHARGER IS NOT RETURNED, WILL RESULT IN A NON-REFUNDABLE CHARGE TO YOUR SPRINT ACCOUNT"

so i sent mine back, anyone else is free to do as they wish, im broke enough as it is, i dont need the chance of having more unneeded bills.
