Two questions:

Wouldn't this phone be still covered under the manufacturer's warranty? I thought there was a 1 year warranty for the phone...

Second, how did you buy your phone? If you bought it with an AmEx card, call them and they'll give you your money back...ask for the extended warranty dept. If you used any other plastic, read the fine print....i had an mp3 cd player stolen within 90 days of purchase, and my crappy student sony citibank card (with only $500 limit) still sent me a check!

no, i bought the phone "financed" through sprint..
basically it was put on my monthly statement, all i had to do was pay my monthly payment and extra for the fone, i paid it off within like 3 months or so (i had the 2yr contract iso i got it by for like whatever it was before rebate)

and thanks for mentioning that, i totally forgot..

so sprint need "insurance" to give you s new phone, but i have no idea how the manufacture warrenty works...

what i was thinkin also was to put insurance on it now, and file a claim in about 6 weeks, ive been keybaordless for like 3months now, 6more weeks wont kill me

There is a 12 month manufacturer's warranty that is honored by any Sprint Service & Repair Center, and it works just the same as having the ESRP (Equipment Service & Repair Plan). That is, it covers any mechanical and/or electrical failure of the device. Also, you have 60 days from the date of the incident to file an insurance claim through Asurion. Hope this helps.

ok, i dont have insurance on the phone....

so back to the man. warrenty..

i do apologise for asking so many questions but this subject totally confuses me...
i already took it into a sprint repair centre store whatever, and they said the best they can do since idont have insurance or sprints TEP, is get me a refurbished one for $120, now between having the invisibleshield on the phone(which wont bug me to get a new one) the only thing wrong with it is the ribbon, which im positive coz of the way the keyboard went out, but if theres a way to get a new phone for cheaper then the 120 ill be more then happy to do what it takes

You should be covered under warranty you may want to call sprint to verify and it would not cost you a dime through warranty, they would need to request you a A.E. (Advance Exchange) at the service center or through Sprint call center (allowed 3 A.E. through them a year)

I replied to this but didnt see it post.. Well you should be covered in warranty and this should be requested by the Sprint service store or if you cannot make it in use the website dont know for certain if you can through warranty and or if you have ESRP, and for last resort Sprint Call Center can request up to 3 A.E. phones a year for you. Hope this helps this way you save $120.
