Lately it is really getting to me how less and less people bother to read and to post in the correct sections of the forum.

Threads asking for help, polls, etc, are not needed in this section. It is clearly stated in the sticky at the top: ONLY start threads in the Upgrade forums that are to release a ROM, Kitchen, or Radio.


Sorry for my little rant but it is annoying to visit this subforum to find if there are new releases or what has been updated to find lots of threads asking for help and now a poll for the question that has only been asked a million times.

It is ok to ask for help, and to make polls and whatever else... I will be the first to try to help with the little knowledge I have... Just please, post in the right section.

I think a poll for what rom's are being used on the different carriers would be kewl. I find that most of the rom's here are for sprint. I'm currently with Alltel and using the RSTG Roms - Spb MobileShell Raph vG53.MS31.16 WM6.5 5/17/09 and is made for sprint and is working gr8 on my touch pro. I tried the m5, merdin, juicy7, star rom and had some issues with loading some software from SBP. I have the telus 1.0.5 radio and have not tried loading any other roms in about two weeks. Good Luck on the post. Not sure why everyone is getting their nickers in a knot over a poll.

I like using MightyMike's Mighty5 rom but also I like Dodge-Longhorn Edition rom 21232 and also Silence's SRX rom's. But they aren't listed. Don't know why because Longhorn's rom is stable and fairly fast and Silence's SRX is a good stable and fast rom also.

I think Buehlar said he could only post 10 selections. I know the rom I am using is not listed. Thx for the info on the Dodge-Longhorn, will have to take it for a spin. Being an addict to flashing why not! lol!

How can you create a thread like this and not put JD's rom and kitchens on here. People ask what the best rom is and are yet to have tried them all, which in return just voids your opinion.

i think this post has everything to do with this part of the forum, since people want to know what others think before they choose, therefore it should be in here so they see both the poll and the roms, it helps to choose and u get an idea of what is better unless of course not all the good roms r there like... silence jd's db's etc. but it still helps somewhat longhorn's demolition etc etc

There is no such thing as the best ROM and no one can really suggest what ROM to use.. The reason roms like Mighty and Juicy and many others are out there is b/c it gives people different choices.. Bottom line is I might think Mighty is the best because it meets my needs.. Someone else might think Juicys is best.. Neither of us is wrong it all comes down to personal choice..

I suggest anyone who is looking for a Rom try the ones that you think you will like and give it a go.. I have tried almost every ROM on PPCGeeks just to make sure I found the one that is what I needed..

could not say it better then that my friend, all ROMS are different and the really best one that is perfect and the best for you is the one you make for your self so really the best creators is you because you make the phone the way you want it.
