Hey chris...sucks that they still haven't done anything about it. don't give up though. hopefully there is a problem they don't know about yet and will fix it.

how bout try this? activate a different phone and then reactivate the phone your having problems with? it wont hurt to try and i do know sometimes that fixes the most odd things.

Chris, you're not the only one having problems with your service. I have the TP and also an alltel air card (pc5750) that got the new prl push too (40049).
They recently switched over to rA in my area and service has been flaky in my area every since.
My uploads speed has improved and downloads decreased. Upload is actually faster than downloads now "consistently".
I've tried every prl in the book on my air card (even the verizon ones) without any luck.

As for my TP it's almost useless here at my home. So this tells me that it is definently "NOT" a problem with your phone.
I'm hoping that the alltel/verizon merger will be over soon (mid summer perhaps?) and we can have a reliable service again.

Some questions so we can try and figure out what they are up to.

Q: Which were you receiveing? D0 or rA before the "upgrade"?

Q: Did your MIN also change with the update?

Q: Did your Home sid change?

Q: Can you tell If you are pulling off the same tower or a different tower as before the update?

to help you with his question.
1. Did you have a Ev or rA icon before the update?

2. dial ##778# then click on view

4. you can get a signal from any cdma tower. it doesn't matter who's it is. that's how it's suppose to work.
