Re: NEW! The Ultimate Weather Radar For Your TP, The Ultimate YouTube Player

Technology I really appreciate you posting all the information about tri/quad mode. Although with the posts you keep adding it has made it terribly hard to follow. Here are the steps I have

Using Merdins 5/17/09 wm 6.5 v 4.5
Make sure you are on Titanium and Windows default is the only option checked.
Install Mortscript
Install HomeScreen ++
Install Second Today
Install TFDetacher
Install XDA WM PIE for 6.0
Soft Reset
Install xWeather (Although I want to run Weather Panel 2009, so do I really install this or not?)
Then Soft Reset
Install Weather Panel 2009
Then Soft Reset
Install Spb
Then Soft Reset

I install all these to the device memory and not the storage card (Is that really necessary?)
When and how do I start mapping soft keys?

So far on the titanium I have LSKey Contacts and RSKey Comm Mgr
TF3d2 LSKey - XWeather RSKey - MCenter
XWeather or 2nd Today or HS++ (not sure what this really is)
LSKey - Home which goes to whatever I have selected in the Today items screen. And RSK - Contacts

I haven't even loaded Spb Yet but will shortly and try to figure out all the settings.

what do I need to map to soft keys and how?

1. first install SecondToday, remember where you install it : onto phone or onto internal memory
2. go with Resco Explorer/TotalCMD/Explorer to the location where you installed it
(typically : \programs\SecondToday for installation on phone and \internal storage\programs\SecondToday if you installed it onto internal storage)
3. remember the location where SecondToday.exe is
4. Open registry and go to \HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila
5. double click on HomeLSKPath and type in the EXACT location where SecondToday.exe is located (includung capital letters)
6. press OK when your finished.
7. Now go to HomeLSKText and type there "SecondToday" or some other text that you want to show for your LEFT softkey
8. press OK to save this value
9. Close registry editor
10. soft reset your phone
11. After soft reset, it should show on the LEFT softkey "SecondToday"
12. Start SecondToday, if everything went well, you won't see Touchflo 3D anymore but the familiar HOME screen
13. Go to Task Manager, it should say that SecondToday is running
14. Tap and HOLD onto SecondToday in the Task Manager
15. You will get a popup menu with the option : add to exclusive list (or something like that).
16. Take that option and your finished.

Now you can enjoy switching between TF3D and normal HOME screen (with all the plugins that you like)......!

Tech can you give me a hand with step 4 please?
Concerning the SecondToday Screen, their is nothing there but the info about the left and right soft key paths and text info... I don't understand where you are coming from guy....

I don't understand how to edit a registry. it says "open registry and go here..." I don't understand what opening the registry means. What is the registry?

Mapping soft keys is easy. Go to TFDetatcher Config and go to the config tab. Choose which soft key you want to map (there's 4 here) and you've got a bazillion options... In windows>start menu you'll find the TFD stuff, and the second today, xweather, etc.

Next to make your second today soft keys work (also really easy) is get into the second today settings and then map the soft keys in the advanced tab.

Hope that helps

The only thing that I have added is new products, now what you are telling the people is wrong and everybody is not using Merdinh's 6.5 ROM....

Again please follow the same instructions in post #2 and I will continue to add new products...{LOL}

yeah I've only been able to map the right softkey in titanium. the left one keeps jumping back to the default contacts by itself. To change the Right one tho, it's in the TFDetatcher config on the config tab. >Change Today Right SK... map and done.
