this has been extensively discussed on this board...more than likely its an issue with the cable coming loose...

theres a how to that includes pictures...

im up to fixing close to 20 of these in my store now with only one person coming back with continuous issues...

Doesn't this void the warranty? My TP is only about 4 weeks old, maybe 5, lol.

do you think the sprint rep you are going to talk to is really going to pop your phone open and see if one screw with black tape over it is missing...they will just take it back to the back...see the keyboard isnt working...look for water damage and replace your phone...

just make sure you flash back to stock and relock...

thats a lot more obvious and technically that does void the warranty though most problems arent rom related

depends on if you live in a sprint corp. area or a sprint affiliate area

i know sprint corp has revised their warranty policy and now will honor the manf. warranty in store for up to a year for a man. defects...the downside of that is that you only will get a "new" phone as a last resort if you dont have TEP. and you have to flash to stock and relock everytime or you're paying 119 for a replacement...

if there is a service and repair store in your area they should be able to fix it for free within the yr...again reflash to stock and relock

you could also contact tech support they MAY do an advanced exchange for you...

easy thing to do is just add insurance...

sprint corp is doing open enrollment for insurance next month (shhhhhhhhhh you didnt hear that from me)

the peace of mind of having TEP is worth the 7 bucks a month

They actually replaced my keyboard 2 days ago, took them about 15 minutes. I have TEP, but they didn't charge me anything. I've had the phone for about 60 days. Well, let me say the rep told me that they were replacing the keyboard, maybe they repaired a loose cable.
I had flashed back to stock and relocked it of course.

Same thing with me. The keyboard stopped working. The Sprint guy did a hard reset, keyboard still not working so he gave me a new TP.

I got the run around today when my TPs keyboard stopped working... Store didn't want to touch it to repair it... Sprint Corp said I would only get a refurb (phone is 2 weeks old)... They told me to call insurance, who transferred me to Sprint.... who transferred me to sales (???) who transferred me to insurance... who transferred me to another insurance rep...

Supposed to have a new TP on the way... Claim just says in process check back in 24...
