But until that day my friends we are stumpted lol
The "settings" are on their server, not on your phone.

There is absolutely nothing you can do to get unproxied internet from cricket on your phone, because they filter by ESN. The only way around it would be to spoof a data card's ESN onto your phone, but then you can't have voice...

I was assuming that one could change something in the registry for a program like MS live or Messenger to go through the proxy server to get the info. Because we set-up the phone to go thru the wap/proxy to get on the internet...why not so for everything else.

I believe that my theory would work but only if someone that was a good phone geek had cricket service. Right now...no one give a darn about cricket.

Some programs will let you modify their port settings and set up a proxy via their settings or regedits, but the majority won't. I know there are IM clients you can use with cricket's internet, but there is no way to make pocket outlook work for syncing email.. you have to use a program like mail2web.

That's not what Alex was saying though.. His post said he was going to try to spoof settings from the aircards in order to bypass the proxy on your phones.. and that won't work.

Re: Cricket Portal Everything Crickettt!!!

I tried Funambol twice and couldn't get it to work. Maybe it was because I was running windows mobile 6.5 but I am trying ALOL. Its similar to mail2web.

Re: Cricket Portal Everything Crickettt!!!

Hi!, thanks for your contribution about funambol. Finally!! everything working on Cricket Wireless. Just go to My.Funambol.com, create an account and download the installer for your phone, I have attached the one for Touch Pro. Then just follow instructions, simple as that!!!! One more thing, I found in some forum the perfect Pandora for a Cricket Touch Pro it is still VGA so you gotta fight a little when setting it up, but after you got your account set up it works FLAWLESSLY!, I have attached the .cab, just install that but there is one more thing you need to do so that the songs dont get cut, open Advance Config (3.3 I think it is), go to Network--->TCP Window Size and make sure it is at 98304, if not change it to that, don't worry it won't affect anything else, and that's it for today, hope it works for ya! Lets keep trying to make cricket more and more useful, coverage areas are spreading a lot!!!!!=D>

P.S. I think the next step would be a browser like Skyfire wich can support flash and an IM for Msn that works well!!!!! Peace
