How to Flash Via PC:

1.download the ruu.zip attachment
2.unzip to your desktop
3.then in the newly created RUU directory add the rom of your choice - (copy the RUU_Signed.nbh to desktop\RUU)
4.Place phone in bootloader mode (power button while holding volume down button)
5.open the ROMUpdateUtility.exe
6.follow the RUU on screen instructions from there

Flash Via Sdcard:

I'm going to use the Telus 1.04 .rar file for this example-

-Extract the RUU_signed.nbh on to your computer somewhere, rename it to RAPHIMG.nbh

-On a microSD card that is formatted to FAT32, put RAPHIMG.nbh into the root of the card

-Soft reset your phone into bootloader mode, it should read the radio rom and give you the option to flash it.

-Soft reset the phone once the update is complete.

DISCLAIMER: I take no responsibility for anything that happens to your phone as a result of these instructions. This is how I flash anything to my phone except official ROMS and I haven't encountered issues with this method up this point.

Re: Radio Update?

Up and running with the new Sprint 1.11. Now how do I tell if it is better than the stock? Just seems hard to tell. Are there ways to test/compare it?

Re: Radio Update?

First off download this file ---> UNLOCKER
then connect your phone to the computer.
Extract the files in Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.zip
then run the program.
it will look like you are about to flash a rom.
go through the steps it tells you to on the unlocker screen.
It will then proceed to unlock your phone! DO NOT UNPLUG IT!
it will take a while and seem to freeze on 0%
after this is complete your phone is unlocked!

Now to flash the radio..

Flash a radio!
i would suggets you use the US Cellular V1.07.06F Shipped or the Telus Radio V1.04.05V.
the spring v1.11 isnt very good as it is meant for the diamond but someone converted it for the touch pro.
First off extract the files.
Then run the ROMUpdateUtility (make sure your phone is plugged in the computer).
Then proceed through the steps (will look just like the screen for unlocking).
It will start flashing the radio, it goes very quick!
and once again DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR PHONE TILL IT SAYS FINISHED!
after you see the Successful screen hit finish and unplug your phone!
your now rocking a new radio!
UNLOCKING OR FLASHING A RADIO WILL NOT HARDRESET YOUR PHONE!
but it is advised you back it up just to be safe

Why would it matter if the Sprint V1.11 was made for the diamond?? I mean, your telling people you suggest the telus radio, but I'm on sprint? Just trying to find the best one for me.
