Re: Is WM6.5 faster or better in any way than WM6.1?

If I want to try a WM6.5 ROM for:

1) A VZW TP
2) A TELUS Diamond

...what ROMs can I try? I really like MightyROMs and use them on both the phones, but currently MightyMike hasn't started using WM6.5.

Re: Is WM6.5 faster or better in any way than WM6.1?

Using "phantomRom", which uses JD's 6.5 kitchen.
I was amazed at internet explorer's ability to log into Sprint account from main page, while opera had an error viewing page and showing what looked like xml code.
scrolling thru-out was very impressive.
speed was top notch.
the new menu takes getting used to.
the stupid event reminder is a pain in da a**.
the only deal breaker was I finish one call and another came right after without screen refreshed as it had same screen image as call before.
Sending picmail with arcsoft, was best/fastest experienced so far.

Re: Is WM6.5 faster or better in any way than WM6.1?

So, after giving it a couple of days, I flashed back to 6.1. It's much better for me.

A new annoyance I've noticed is that if you go into the settings, change whatever setting you wanted to change, poof, you're back on the today screen. God forbid you have several settings to modify, you'll have to go through all the menus once again.

So all in all, 6.5 was fun to try, it looks very pretty, but I don't think it's as functional as 6.1. (Yet)

Don't download the current one. Keyboard doesn't work. Should probably be a new one out tonight that'll fix that.

Re: Is WM6.5 faster or better in any way than WM6.1?

I tried 6.5 and now just flashed with 6.1 silence rom 9 - so far the best rom.

In 6.5 I didn't like conversation mode in sms which some time wouldnt even show what I typed when switch btw landscape. Also devicelock would take few slides until unlock. Delay in ringing. Lag in HTC menu and for some reason I dont like that new program look in WM

but that's only my opinion.
