This thread is going to cause me to try that WM6.5 ROM that's available tonight - as soon as an update is posted. This will be an interesting experience, I'm sure. Any common tweaks for 6.5 around?

So let me get this straight. What is out for 6.5 is still a beta from Microsoft? Or is it final?

I'm really liking 6.5 a lot. After learning how to customize CHome a bit, I think it is underrated. It's a good alternative for those who get tired of TF3D. I will not be going back to 6.1 either.

Exactly, it was just what my TP needed, lol. I just hope that windows mobile 7.0 or whatever does away with the old school windows mobile crap and does something less cumbersome.

After reading this thread, I decided to try phantom's 6.5 rom.

Two things I miss:
1. MRU (is there any way to get the MRU at the top of the new start menu?)
2. the finger friendly scrolling is nice, but with all the stuff I have loaded on my TP, It takes me a ton of swipes to get to the bottom of the program list. Any way to get scrollbars in there?

Other than that, it's nice. But if I can't find a way around these two things, I'll probably go back to 6.1, as I feel it's better in terms of productivity.

tf3d sucks... I've been using SPB Mobile Shell off and on (except for a 2 month period where I tried tf3d..) - and it's *so* much more usable..

Curious - how do you customize chome?

i have used JD's rom and i thought it was great.....but by far the best i have used is Merdin's WM6.5. it is the fastest, and by far the most stable 6.5 i have used. simply fantastic
