Re: Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)
All this, just because VZW had to gimp this device. I would give quite a bit just to be face to face with the person that made the decision to change this device, and ask WHY??? F'n Verizon

No, this will no longer work, actually i believe it used to be option 3. Either way VZW plug'd the hole and the MEID/ESN will not be recognized.

Re: Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)
I was able to get an alltel store to get my number in, I happen to know the person who owns it, but she wasn't sure that it was going to work since it's a sprint diamond and not an alltel diamond, and I didn't have the alltel stuff loaded, so she couldn't actually complete the activation, but she was able to get my esn number into the system and assign me a phone number
problem is, since we weren't sure if it would work or not, we set up a prepaid account got the alltel stuff loaded, went to activate but it's in roam mode (we got an alltel tower here up and running april 1, give or take a day, but the phone is only roaming so I call alltel tech support, explain I'm trying to get my phone turned on, said the phone was stuck in roam and couldn't do the *228, she said no problem she can talk me through the manual programming once I said it was a diamond, she said she couldn't cause they don't put diamonds on a prepaid plan due to the data plan, I explained we were testing before actually putting on a regular account and told her I had the data turned off, she still refused to help manually set it up anyone know the information I need in order to get it up and working (as a phone only right now, not the data) or, since alltel got it setup in their system now, can I call verizon (which I have an account with) and get the phone activated with them |

Re: Sprint TP on Verizon UPDATE! (NO LONGER WORKING)
for all those people who are having problems with *228, first phone must not be working on another system like sprint. then change msl code to 000000 with qpst. then place verizon prl on any for now. then use *228 option 3. i bet people are not changing msl and installing the vzw prl

Not sure why everyone doesn't just do this. Its a tiny bit more work at first, changing 2 things instead of 1, but it saves you from ever having to worry about it in the future. This is especially relevant now with Verizon doing PRL updates so often as they integrate the Alltel network. |
