I think this is it. Make sure your phone is in diagnostic mode (dial ##diag or ##diag# depending on your device.

Also remember to change the NAM Name in EPST to VZW. This is how I got my data to start working

update: after going through all the steps to modify the sprint touch pro (excellent instructions here), i was denied activation... Explanations went from sprint and vzw not being the same network(cdma), telling me to go to the store to activate it, not having the knowledge/capability to do it, and so on...
This was from the same tech rep. So i got transferred to a network specialist and he said that they can do it but he wouldn't want it to come back to him. He also said that vzw wants to have an "open" network but they don't want to open the "flood gates" because they need to do testing blah blah... I just went along with it and said "i understand" (sigh). So now i got a nice sprint touch pro with a verizon rom on it. Maybe i'll flash it back, relock it, and sell it.

Perhaps someone should put this in bold at the beginning of the thread:

As of now try to get your ESN added to the DMD FIRST. It will save you a lot of trouble if you can't do it.

sitnstand, look a page or 2 back for a number and extension someone posted of a tech who could add devices to the DMD. Perhaps you will have more luck going that route.

bottom line....verizon sucks major balls. We have over 200+ lines with them in our company and they STILL will not make any exceptions. When i tried to port my number over to Sprint but still keep a line of service with them they still want to charge us $175.

I will NEVER again use verizon. They have now been put on my **** list along with the canadian government for shutting down overgrow.com.

What kind of exceptions and for how many phones?
