HTC Touch Pro Keyboard not working - Page 7

Soon within the next month or so htc will start shipping tp keyboards to sprint which is ground breaking news because htc allows no one to work on their phones. Also which is b.s. because the tp2 will be out around that time???? htc & sprint really dropped the ball on this one!!!!

same prob here started repeatibg keys by three about a week ago now not working at all going to sprint 2ma

well mines orking again thanks to dragon2,here is tip dragon2 gave me Remove battery for about 10 sec press down and hold all keys surrounding the space button for a good 5-10 sec and whala.mines began working again.hope this helps

I had the Mogul and the keyboard on that did the repeating thing and then stopped all together. The sprint service center soft reset it and it started working again, DUH. Told them it would work for about 15 minutes and then go out again. He gave it to the tech and the tech claimed they couldn't duplicate the problem even though I showed the moron at the counter that it went out again while I was standing there and showed him. Said screw it and filed claim with assurion and the replaced it for a $50 deductible. Got a refurb Mogul and the ok button on the side didn't work. Called assurion and they upgraded me to the TP for free. Sounds great doesn't it. Have a brand new TP for a few months and the g-sensor/screen goes nuts. Sprint can't deny that problem since it's flipping all over the place. Get a refurb TP a few days later and everything was fine at first. Had it less than 3 weeks and the keyboard is completely dead. Picking up replacement tomorrow. If it happens again I will sure be trying to use this as leverage to get a free upgrade.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. I have had 5 Touch Pro's so far. Getting ready to get my 6th. All keyboard issues. Not sure why this keeps happening. Surely I can't txt as much as the kids out there. LOL

In order to bring my phone to the sprint store...I will flash it back to the stock rom so they dont ask any questions, but do I need to lock it back? If so, how do I do that?

Anything else I need to know about bringing the phone back?

Yes you need to relock it. Do a quick search and you will find it easily. Also, if you check the boot screen after you re lock it, it will say security unlocked. Don't worry, it always says that. Freaked me out at first when I relocked.

For those of you with recent keyboard issues, and the replacements you received....
Did you get refurbs or a new TP?

My keyboard is in the process of dying a slow death, and tech support was ready to do a swap, until he notified me that refurbs would be the only option for a replacement. Just wondering what you all got for replacements.

This happened to me also! i went to get on to the internet, and it started acting up, then it just stopped working at all. i took it up to the sprint store and they replaced the key board. i have insurance on my phone and it wasn't an issue... i am on my 3 or 4th tp.
