Re: touch pro phone protector

I have a clear silicone ebay $5 one and the $24 black plastic/rubberish sprint one. The clear one does not fit in the touch pro standard case, so I stopped using it. The black one fits, but is a little snug, so you can forget about safely taking it out of your case while you are in the car with your seatbelt on, for example. The Sprint one also comes in clear, but that's just plastic without the rubberish grip. The Sprint one was not painted on the edges, so unless you take to it with a Sharpie or spraypaint, you have ugly white racing stripe around the middle of the phone. The Sprint case is very hard to take off. The silicone one relies on a tiny plastic rail to stay on, similar to a drawer. When I got it, it was not fully glued to the silicone, so that sucked.

So, I don't know how secure those are, but if you drop them at the wrong angle, don't expect those to stay put either.
Tough break...Yeah, no doubt if the tabs are intact, it holds better, that goes both ways.

Even if it holds tight, it doesn't give you 100% protection due to the screen being exposed, if you drop it at the wrong angle on a rock, or on the corner of a coffee table...oh well. But it's better than nothing in my opinion.

Just to make it clear, I didn't break it off on purpose.

Re: touch pro phone protector

I ordered the Innocase from Seidio. I've had cheap $10 cases from various sites and ebay, and all they do is add uneccessary bulk and a huge gap when Touch Pro when keyboard is closed. I'm sure that gap is not doing the hardware well. Well worth the $30, IMO. Besides, the grey one looks great!
