Tough break...Yeah, no doubt if the tabs are intact, it holds better, that goes both ways.

Even if it holds tight, it doesn't give you 100% protection due to the screen being exposed, if you drop it at the wrong angle on a rock, or on the corner of a coffee table...oh well. But it's better than nothing in my opinion.

Just to make it clear, I didn't break it off on purpose.
