Re: What's the best backup program?

I am going to do an interesting test for the next few days. I have the full versions of both SPB & Sprite.

A guy I work with is buying a new TP & wants me to tweak the hell out of it (& also put it on Verizon service for him)

I told him fine, as long as I can play with his new phone & try out a few things on it first. He doesn't care, so I bought him a brand new TP from ebay (it will be here today). I will BU my current totally loaded/tweaked Sprint TP running on vz with both SPB & Sprite & then try restoring those BU's to the new TP after flashing to various ROM's.

I will post results here.

Re: What's the best backup program?

I use the SKtools backup, and it looks like I'm the only one. I have used this exclusively for nearly two years after having problems when doing a backup from SPB after loading a new ROM. With Sktools I have my auto backup scheduled to go every week, if I end up changing ROM during the week I can use the backup file and chose to load only the PIM info, this way I dont have to have a seperate program for this.

Re: What's the best backup program?

My vote goes to spb backup. I've used it for a year or so, and it's worked perfectly. I do have a question about backups though. Is there anything i could do to my phone, aside from flashing a different rom, that would cause a backup to not restore correctly? I mean ive always felt safe to tinker after doing a back up, but i'm wondering if there's an exception that would cause a problem. Sorry for veering a lil off topic.

Re: What's the best backup program?

You good DS, as a precaution have a backup in your pc/laptop. I use all three software Resco,Sprite and spb, they are all life savers and I was able to restore wirh all of them with very minor hick ups like email set up was a bit messed up or something like that.
As of now I am ranking Resco as number one due to the fact that it is light, allows you to just update your back up insteasd of doing a full one.
Javier dude uses Sktool backup , he is most likely luring around..lol.
Mr. Morton, why dont u throw Resco into the mix??? btw did u ever get a pm, gallee I asked u last week
