If you're using the latest version I wouldn't worry too much about it, from my testing it really restores perfectly.

I restored a BU yesterday that came from one TouchPro & I restored it to a DIFFERENT TP & they where running two different ROM's. The restored system works perfectly & if it can handle THAT it should handle just about anything.

When I tried the exact same thing with SPB, TF3D refused to run on the restored system.

On my old Treo 800ws I would use the older (built in) version of Sprite backup for backups and restores all the time, even when moving from one 800w to a replacement 800w.

With my Touch Pros (my first plus its later replacement), I've used the latest version and was able to move from the first Touch Pro to a replacement with no problems at all. Backups and restores have been running fine.
