Did you recheck your PRL after it looked like it was updating?

(This may not even be it, but is worth a shot. Changing my PRL helped out a lot on my Touch when I was using it!)

Huh...well it looks like it may not help out anyway, but if you look around, there is a thread somewhere on manually updating your PRL.

Perhaps you could soft reset,check to see if that applies an update, and try again with the update if nothing happened.

Otherwise, just watch and wait for one of the geniuses to pop in this thread.

The PRL does nothing for your EVDO speeds, only which towers you can connect to when roaming. For those wanting to manually update the PRL look here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ight=prl+60750 and here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ight=prl+60650

You will need your MSL to do the manual update or you can call Sprint (*2) and have your account flagged for an update.

That is more of what I was getting at. I had an issue with my Touch where it would switch btw 1X and EVDO all the time and changing the PRL fixed that, so I was hoping maybe it would help with that issue in this thread.

Don't think its the PRL. Don't think any of us are roaming when we are in sprint EVDO coverage.
besides running ...50 PRL file since day one.

the main point was to see who else upgraded from a mogul that had significantly higher throughput. accessing opera was much snappier in page loads than on the TP. love the TP, but i can barely see speeds over 1100kbps where my mogul would routinely be over 1600kpbs and sometimes peak 2200kbps.

there has to be a reason why there is this discrepency. esp since im in the same house, same cell towers as before and only thing that changed is the phone. both are evdo rev A, stock rom, newest PRL, same software.
