Re: Mute Ring/Ignore not working

I see this when I have my bluetooth connected to the phone. That is when my ignore won't work. And I have tried hard resets left and right but still get the same issue with a bluetooth.

Re: Mute Ring/Ignore not working

I have had the same issue with 2 different Pro's. Won't ignore or mute, regardless of if its using bluetooth or not. I've also had it not answer.

I'm using the stock everything at the moment, I did have gyrator installed on my first one, but the screen quit working (display was fine but no touch interface) and although I don't think it had anything to do with it, I'm paranoid since that was the last program I installed before it went south.

Also, I think I read somewhere that the phone is suppose to mute the ringer if placed upside down. Doesn't work, so I'm not sure if that was in conjunction with a gsensor utility or not.

Re: Mute Ring/Ignore not working

Well, after a hard reset and a huge headache I found out what's causing this problem:

Windows Live!

If you have your email set up with check mail "As Items Arrive" then the ignore button on the incoming call screen will only mute ringer, not ignore. If you switch back to "Manual" the the ignore button will ignore.

Any ideas why this is?

I may try to dig out some other windows live builds and see what happens...

Re: Mute Ring/Ignore not working

Not sure if this helps but I don't have Windows Live enabled on my phone. I do use Direct Push, so I wonder if this has the same bug.

Interesting. With windows live it only doesn't work when it's set to "as items arrive" which is push. I wonder what it is about push mail that does not allow the ignore button to work?

Re: Mute Ring/Ignore not working

I've been trying to figure out what's causing this issue as well. Works fine for a while after a hard reset (running Juicy 4.7), and even after I get all of my customizations working it works fine. Then one day it just stops working. Ignoring a call does nothing. I thought Wavezero might be on to something, so I set my Windows Live to manual, soft reset, and it still doesn't work.

Question, any of you guys using S2U2? Could that be our culprit?

Re: Mute Ring/Ignore not working

Nope, I just tried it again, if your data connection is active the ignore button won't work. After you set WL to manual and soft reset, go in to the comm manager and turn the data off, then call yourself and it will work...

So it's NOT push mail specifically, it's any open data connection

Re: Mute Ring/Ignore not working

Alright, we need to figure out what common apps we might have installed.

What Roms are you guys running? What 3rd party apps are you using? And are you using Exchange Push?

For me, I'm running Juicy 4.7, with Jugalo's black slide2answer cab, S2U2, Windows Live configured for "As Items Arrive", Activesync configured for direct push.

I did notice that this last time Ignore didn't stop working until I installed the latest version of S2U2. I've tried uninstalling it since, and that didn't fix it. Also, I thought it may be the slide2answer cab, but it happens without installing that cab and using the default dialer as well.

Re: Mute Ring/Ignore not working

I don't think it's an app issue, did you try turning you data conection off (from the comm manager)?

I'm thinking:
Data connection on (two arrows above signal strength) ignore button only mutes ring

Data connection off (Y like logo above signal strength) ignore buton ignores the call (works properly)

Let me know if this is true for you.
