IDEA! Mapping that pesky little OK or X button to Volume Up

This is just an idea, and I am sure there is a way to do this, but wouldn't it be just something to be able to map that button to the volume up? That way, to change volumes we could still push Volume down and then change the volume, but for the rest of phone when the volume doesn't need to be changed it can still be used!

How might I go about implementing this idea?
