the soft reset button has nothing to do with software, it's a hardware power interuption. if it does not work, your hardware is defective, not your software

Actually after I uninstalled the cleanup program, I was able to soft reset via the power button again, hmm.... I think I may stay away from the cleanup program for the time being.

theres also a soft reset app. if thats an option? have one on my diamond. in case you want it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333940 never tried it on my pro.
